Tarot Card of the Day

60

This card is traditionally entitled The Page, but in some modern decks appears as a Princess. The traditional interpretation is about a messenger, an emissary or liaison between separate camps, charged with faithfully representing one side’s communications to the other. Because of this role, we do not think of this person as a servant, but rather as a diplomat, facilitating sensitive negotiations, often under difficult conditions.

This person is acting as the eyes and ears of her patron, and so she is sometimes referred to as The Watchman. Even kings are powerless if this messenger chooses to use her access to sensitive information for her own gain, as is implied by her other name, The Spy.

She could even be working as a double agent, playing both sides against each other to serve her own agenda. Her title is really camouflage in itself, serving as protective coloration so she can move among the people unrecognized, collecting information anonymously. Her vigilance often conceals an ulterior motive. She is a watcher who must herself be watched, because she dreams of someday taking matters into her own hands, preempting the plans of her employers.

Daily Love Tarot

The Sun

The Sun is an invitation to a supportive relationship in which you can be yourself around your significant other. You feel relaxed and loved, with a sense of peace of heart. You’ve struck gold and entered into a new realm. Keep looking if this is not how you feel because it is how things should be. You can’t expect improvement in a long-term union if you do not take effective steps to create it.

Your Erotic Tarot

The Judgment

The Judgment card represents a sexual awakening, and now that you aren’t afraid to move in a new direction, a whole new world awaits you. What sex positions do you want to try, and which fantasies have you been dying to act out? Being honest with yourself and potential partner(s) about the details of what you desire will help you get what you want faster, and the end result will be much more satisfying. And above all, enjoy your sexual liberation!

Remember the Survivors, Their Families, and the Family and Friends of Those who Crossed on 9/11/2001

Coven Life®

While a nation remembers all the people who crossed into the Summerlands from the Twin Towers in NY, NY, The Pentagon in Washington D.C.and in a field in Somerset County, PA on one of the most horrendous days in the United States history. The people left to carry on in this lifetime are often forgotten. Not just the people who got safely out of the Twin Towers but the families and friends of the spirits that crossed and families and friends of those who’s spirit and body lived on with the nightmare they escaped from dying in. Also the families of the terrorists that had no idea what those men were going to do that morning.

Say a prayer and light a candle both for those that crossed the veil and for those left behind. Find it in yourself to forgive the families of the terrorists who did not know…

TRUE LOVE

If You Were Born Today, September 11

Practical and intuitive, you are a stickler for details and technicalities yet you don’t forget the value of putting your heart into something. It is difficult to get anything past you! You notice details that others miss. People are likely to notice your intelligence first, and some may be intimidated. An emotional and sensitive person lies underneath your shrewd exterior, and only those close to you are sure of this! You learn quickly, and you seek security and value in affairs of the heart. Famous people born today: O. Henry, D.H. Lawrence, Kristy McNichol, Moby, Tommy Shaw, Harry Connick Jr., Brian De Palma, Tyler Hoechlin, Virginia Madsen.

Your Birthday Year Forecast:

With the Sun and Moon in harmony in your Solar Return chart, the year ahead should be satisfying and balanced overall. You are in comfortable demand and personally popular, and you are able to achieve a decent balance between work and play; personal and professional life. For the most part, you are on top of your game this year, and positive connections with others can be made fairly easily. With the ability to handle your emotions successfully, there is less stress on both your mind and body. Your self-confidence and positive attitude will reward you!

Your attitude towards life continues to evolve and transform in significant ways with transiting Pluto transiting trine to your Sun again this year. What used to satisfy you may not go on to do so, particularly if your goals have been superficial or a poor reflection of your inner desires. You are no longer willing to make compromises in the important areas of your life, particularly with regards to career and your life path. You are more determined this year, and it’s an excellent time for getting rid of bad habits. This is a year in which to get your life back on track, as you have the willpower to do so. Others are bound to recognize your leadership skills and talents, or, at the very least, your potential. You want your life path and your objectives to reflect what you’re really about. You benefit from being more decisive than usual, and your ability to concentrate and focus help you to achieve what you set out to do. A new project or goal begun this year has a good chance of being fruitful and long-lasting.

This can be a busy year on a mental level, with personal interests, studies, exciting ideas, frequent lectures, debates, or animated discussions. You are more assertive or forthcoming with your ideas and advice or opinions. You are highly motivated to put your ideas into motion. There can be many errands, travel, and trips. You may be more actively involved with young people.

Jupiter transits in harmony with your Sun this year, and you have a stronger than usual desire to improve, grow, and learn. This is a fortunate aspect that helps boost optimism and confidence, and you are able to attract fortunate circumstances into your life as a result. Problems are easier to resolve. Matters related to universities, higher education, organized religion, publishing, legal affairs, and foreign interests can be especially strong. It’s a strong time to further your education. You are likely to enjoy a larger perspective on matters that keeps you from getting lost in details or overly frustrated by everyday stresses.

Certain elements of your social life and financial life are stabilized, secured, and more reliable this year. You may solidify a romantic relationship or become involved with a mature or steady partner. Circumstances may be such that you need to handle money more carefully this year, or this may simply come naturally to you now. Support from older people or authority figures may come by way of solid advice or more tangible help. Renewed ties to old friends are possible or a new sense of responsibility in existing friendships emerges.

The period ahead is a good time for updating your electronics and technology in ways that open up new avenues for communication or ease. Wonderfully creative ideas can fill your head this year.

Fortunate connections are likely to be made this year–connections that benefit you now and down the road and that enhance your chances of success at achieving your goals. A new relationship with someone that helps to broaden your horizons, expand your mind, and deepen your personal philosophy of life is possible, or existing relationships grow and improve.

You are taking more interest and pride in your relationships this period. It’s a good time to strengthen and support others as well as to build trust. You tend to instinctively know how to behave in ways that boost others’ confidence. This is a good time to team up with someone to generate ideas or solve problems, or simply to listen to and be heard. Mental rapport can be experienced in your relationships now.

This can be a time of building faith or confidence in your skills and talents, particularly in the second half of your birthday year. You can experience a stronger desire to seek out meaning, wisdom, and mental stimulation. You’ll be making plans and seeing important patterns, and you can be particularly motivated to solve problems.

Travel opportunities are likely. Pinnacle successes can occur during this period – for example, publishing an important project, graduating, marrying, having a child, getting a promotion, and so forth.

The year ahead is one of constructive accomplishment and the embracing of change and improvement. It’s a powerful year for moving your life forward. You are more courageous than usual, and you’re open to change, but you’re tuning into a more moderate lifestyle that suits you well. Your social or romantic life may stabilize. Even so, this is an excellent period for spreading your wings, trying new things, and taking on new and exciting interests.

2017 is a Number Three year for you. Ruled by Jupiter. This is a year of sociability. It is a friendly time when you find it natural and easy to enjoy life and other people. The focus is on personal freedom, reaching out to others, making new friends, and exploration. You are more enthusiastic and ready for adventure than you are in other years. It’s likely to be a rather lighthearted year when opportunities for “play” time are greater than usual. It’s also a favorable year for expressing your creativity. Advice – reach out and connect but avoid scattering your energies.

2018 will be a Number Four year for you. Ruled by Uranus. This is a year of work and development. It’s “nose to the grindstone” time. It’s a time to pay special attention to practical matters, and it’s not a time to be lazy or especially gregarious. Sometimes, it can be a year that feels hard, monotonous and routine, and/or lonely. Positive new relationships are often not formed in a Four personal year. However, it can be a wonderful year for building, development, and laying a solid foundation for future successes. Advice – get yourself organized, work to build your resources, keep busy.

Your Weekly Karma Forecast: September 9 – 15, 2018

Kelly M. Beard

a message from Kelly M. Beard

The Karmic Tools Weekly Forecast covers the current planetary transits which affect people in different ways and to various degrees of intensity. Take notice when it is a Personal planet (Sun / Moon / Mercury / Venus / Mars) interacting with a Social (Jupiter/Saturn) or Collective planet (Uranus / Neptune/Pluto). And pay extremely close attention when it is a Social planet interacting with a Collective planet because that means something *big* is brewing that will move large groups of people along their evolutionary paths. Tuning in to the energy and rhythm of the planets can serve as a useful *guide* as you move along your Individual Path. It also helps to understand your place within the context of the larger Social & Collective Story. Below, you will find out how these energies tend to manifest, as well as guidance and direction.

*NOTE*  There are some days when there are NO CONTACTS (besides the Moon), please note that there are no missing entries, we just list the actual Activations of each week + the day they happen.

Weekly Forecast: September 9 – 15, 2018

9/9 ~ Venus Enters SCORPIO (until 10/31 and again: 12/2 – 1/7):

Venus Retrogrades every 18-months and this time will be in Scorpio (on 10/5), and we’ve already been in the zone since she got to the end of Libra (where she’ll go Direct on 11/16) so you may already realize that you are moving through the relationship work in Libra, and now realizing how many new layers of life (and how connected to it all you really are) there are when she enters Scorpio. As new (or sometimes old) issues are exposed and brought in to the light, you begin to realize that the love & abundance you’ve managed to attract or create is a direct reflection of your own personal values & self-worth. As Venus moves in to Scorpio, it activates Soul-level work and illuminates how invisible energy is affecting your life & relationships. Ideas or beliefs that have become unconscious, hidden or buried, come in to your conscious awareness at this time, rooting-out any self-deceptions and/or bad habits which no longer support who you’ve become over the last 2-8 years. It’s time to identify & release any self-sabotage, illusions, delusions or inner-darkness that is delaying your good or misguiding your power & choices. It’s time to distill your motivations back to their original essence & intent. Define your terms. What is love? abundance? beauty? life? What do you want? and why do you want it? How will you create it? or magnetize it in? Scorpio is the energy and lesson of karma & creation, holding us all accountable for that which we bring into being. Venus reminds us that willing & honorable sacrifice clears a space for magic to occur and invites the Ancestors and Invisible Realms to contribute & assist. Venus in Scorpio reminds you that you are not the Source of power, but merely a channel or vehicle of its expression in form. As a human with free will & choice, it helps to also be responsible & aware anytime Scorpio is kicking. Releasing deeper issues, clearing a space to plant *NEW* seeds of potential, doing the 3D/visible work, then stepping back and allowing the invisible power of Source energy to breathe life into your intentions ~ is the best use of this time & energy. It can be intense and often challenging, but if you are able to push through the discomfort and face any dark Truths being revealed at this time, you will be cleansed, lighter and better able to direct your power and shape-shift as needed for living on a planet whose very existence is based on the Life/Death/Life Cycle and a natural rhythm.

9/9 ~ VIRGO New Moon:

… comes every year and presents us with an opportunity to reboot the *System* ~ which usually entails creating a whole new routine as well. Theoretically, during the last lunation (Leo/Aquarius), we decided what we were going to express (more authenticity) and invest in both Self & Community (more value & new priorities). Now, Virgo-time supports integrating all that you have recently learned about your core essential nature (Leo), into a new routine and creating a completely new system for living, that will support you better in the here & now. It’s time to digest, assimilate & integrate the last 9-months specifically. Also deeply supported this month is acknowledging (and releasing) any regrets, mourning any true losses or deaths and deepening your dedication to that which is vital, strong, healthy, evolving & alive (within & around you).

We are coming out of Fixed energy (Leo), which has activated both the need to stabilize certain things, as well as release (permanently) some aspect of Self, so that your life can actually work, in the physical reality you’re currently living. That said, no matter how bad it is, change really is only one decision and a renewed commitment away. Virgo energy helps us process & assimilate all that has completed/died/left/ended and make the necessary arrangements for new life to come in and thrive. Think: Nesting in the sense that you are preparing space for something new in your life. But because it is Virgo, it is more about how this new life/energy/direction is going to actually work into your natural rhythm & daily routine.

*IF* you have made a ton of new connections & friends recently, your individual creativity has been activated, and your heart engaged, then Virgo energy comes in and helps you create a new system and get used to your new rhythm. It’s time to create a whole new daily routine that better supports who you are and are becoming. We’re all finding various personal systems and regular routines (that have historically worked) are now obsolete and no longer work (for whatever reason). That is always a clear indication that it is time for a new one. And *IF* you are able to create one (while tweaking and leaving it open to ongoing revisions in the beginning), then when Libra comes next, you’ll be able to really make those connections with others, personally or professionally, and create some powerful new relationships & collaborations.

However, if you have spent the last month of Leo examining your own self-worth, wondering why you magnetize certain things & people, and repel others, and generally feeling like the life you’re living does NOT reflect who you are in your heart-of-hearts, then the annual dose of Virgo Medicine will help you heal aspect(s) of Self that will enable you to be in a better position to take full advantage of the coming opportunities in Libra.

That said, because we are on the other side of the Eclipses, you can use this month to restore your energy, replenish your Self, tend to your health & fitness, and create a daily practice that supports your current goals & aspirations. If you are resistant to doing whatever it takes to strengthen that trust within (your intuition), just note that the road will be that much more challenging for you. If you resist change and seek to control anything or anyone outside of Self, you are in for a bumpy & painful ride. If you want things to “go back“, you will be disappointed. So rather than resist the changes disrupting your life at this time, try silence, deep breaths, and intuitive, heart-centered decision-making. Use the earthy, practical energy of Virgo to direct the current powerful flow of energy, get present to here & now and take things one step at a time.

9/11 ~ Sun (core Self) ~sextile~ Jupiter (optimism):

This energy is sometimes considered “lucky” but the success you achieve under this influence, is more likely due to a positive outlook and clear vision of who you are and what you want. Your life is expanding, your self-understanding is deepening and it will be easier to be around other people of higher consciousness, improving things and creating opportunities that benefit a larger number of people. There is a healthy dose of optimism around some grand plan, and things are moving, but make sure to do the foundation work to support this larger vision as it manifests in reality. If you are a teacher/guide/leader of any sort, this energy supports your group efforts, so giving workshops, seminars or new classes is totally supported and will benefit you, while serving others.

9/11 ~ Sun (core essential Self) ~trine~ Pluto (purification & transformation):

This energy makes you want to get things done, by any means necessary and you may tend to come on a little strong – but it’s all good. The work you want to do, is work that needs to be done and in doing it and facing things head-on, you will gain insights about your Self that fortify your foundation so that your life can evolve to the next level organically. This intense and powerful energy is transformative in nature and will provoke you to think deeply about your life; what you need, desire and deserve. You may find that some aspects of your life need to be reformed or released – go for it – this energy makes reform and release easier than usual. It’s a good time to make an impression or an impact on others, but be sure to keep it on the Highest level possible. Any actions or statements used to manipulate others for selfish gain can/will backfire on you in a big way. This is a positive, uplifting, transformative energy – use it as such to clear the debris and create the life you were born to live.

9/12 ~ Jupiter (Your Truth & Story) ~sextile~ Pluto (Purification & Transformation):   (3 of 3:  1/15 ~4/14 ~ 9/12)

This energy brings expansion & regeneration, allowing you to gain serious traction and get big things done. On a personal level, your Truth & Story is due for a renewal. You’ve grown, your life has changed & your consciousness has expanded in recent years and these two are going to assist you in making great strides, in a short amount of time because of your evolution. This is concentrated growth & development with incredible support for overall integrity. Robert Hand says, “This combination symbolizes regeneration to a higher plane of existence” on many levels. So this could also usher in a renewed sense of deep faith in yourself, life and your ‘process’. Because Jupiter expands your consciousness, this activation can stimulate a spiritual rebirth, as well as a literal one (improved environment). This is when you learn (or begin to *know*) something that utterly changes you, on a Soul level, and you are never the same. So you can also look for your Story to evolve to its natural next level as your awareness is expanded and you cannot go back (read: you can’t un-know what you know). This is an opportunity between two major energies, a social planet (Jupiter) and a collective planet (Pluto), to come together in a positive, effective way. Ultimately, this activation will affect you and those around you because Jupiter makes things bigger and Pluto permanently changes things. So if you’re ready for big (and permanent) change, these two support you and your efforts.

9/12 ~ Venus (values) ~oppose~ Uranus (freedom):

Any time Uranus is involved, it becomes the “wild card” and hard to predict how things will unfold, but right now there is a push-pull between your apparent values and your unique individual self. Venus also represents relationships, so you may begin an unusual relationship or you may have something unusual happen in an established relationship.  It is not necessarily a “good/bad” thing, as much as an unpredictable shift or sudden awareness, which requires some compromise & integration. This energy works beautifully if your personal Truth and values are in alignment. It will be very disruptive if they are not. Be open and flexible, while looking for the win/win situation for all involved.

9/12 ~ Venus (relationships) ~sextile~ Saturn (responsibility):

This energy has to do with your obligations within the context of relationships. They are not difficult obligations (in this case) but more emphasis is placed on enjoying serving those you love. This is also what I would call the “keep it real” energy, regarding relationships. This energy makes you want to really sit down and define your terms within your relationships (which I am a total advocate of). It’s really hard to grow to the next level when each person is not clear on what the other expects. Of course, this starts with you knowing what you want/don’t want and what you are willing to compromise about so you can articulate that clearly.

9/13 ~ Mercury (lower mind) ~oppose~ Neptune (Higher mind):

This energy requires us to balance the Higher and lower mind. Some sensitive souls will feel bombarded by energies from all sides and it may feel like information-overload and very stressful. The best use of this transit is meditation – not making important decisions or commitments for a week or so. Communication with others is challenged, another reason to only communicate with your Higher Self – or at least check in more often this week! Don’t believe everything you read or hear. Allow information to flow at a comfortable pace and wait for the energy to shift before making any decisions based on the information gathered. Some will access the necessary clarity for furthering their vision – others’ vision will be blurred and just out of reach.

9/15 ~ Mercury (ideas, thoughts & concepts) ~trine~ Pluto (rebirth & transformation):

This activation makes any deep delving within easier and more fruitful. It encourages you to ask the deeper questions, clarify your deeper feelings and trust your intuitive gut feelings that are telling you something has to die so some other aspect of your consciousness can live. You will want to explore your inner Self, sort through recently gathered information and try to understand better what your natural process really is. It is best to be alone for such research. Take a day or a weekend and grab your most powerful books & music and get somewhere beautiful if you can, if not, then your bedroom will do just as well – and dig deep! You are finally ready for the deeper truth, and you will be transformed by what you learn. If you must communicate with others, plan on that being deep as well, so best to talk to a trusted advisor or wise elder. Nothing superficial today. The only warning with this energy is not to become obsessive about one particular idea – and certainly don’t try to force any ideas on others. If you feel the deep need to focus on one particular thing, that is fine but try to keep some perspective or write down all your revelations so you can reflect on them at a later time when you can be more objective and prioritize better.

“A witch who is bored might do ANYTHING.

People said things like ‘we had to make our own amusements in those days’ as if this signified some kind of moral worth, and perhaps it did, but the last thing you wanted a witch to do was get bored and start making her own amusements, because witches sometimes had famously erratic ideas about what was amusing.”

The Moon & Timing

The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).

Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.

What’s In Store By the Stars – Daily Astrology Trends

SEPTEMBER 11

Jupiter and Pluto are heading towards their final sextile in a set of three while Jupiter has been transiting Scorpio (this first happened in January), and the Sun is harmonizing with both planets today. We’re feeling productive, pleasantly ambitious, and determined. This is a resourceful, capable, and strategic time — we’re willing to put in the extra effort to make something as perfect as we can get it. It’s a particularly powerful time for both discovering flaws and fixing them.

The Moon spends the day in Libra, and we’re seeking emotional balance and harmony. As the day advances, we move towards a Venus-Uranus opposition, however, and we can experience some instability, restlessness, and rebelliousness. Our needs for comfort and togetherness appear to clash with the desire to be free and independent.

The Moon is void from 6:58 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Pluto), until the Moon enters Scorpio the next day, Wednesday, September 12th, at 2:15 PM EDT.

The sky this week for September 11 to 16

A New Moon paves the way for some spectacular views of the sky this week.
By Richard Talcott

Tuesday, September 11
Any clear evening this week is a good time to explore the constellation Sagittarius the Archer. Not only does this star group harbor the incomparable Saturn, but it also hosts the central regions of the Milky Way. Sagittarius lies due south and at peak altitude around 9 p.m. local daylight time, near the time twilight ends. Notice that its brightest stars form a distinctive asterism in the shape of a teapot. To enjoy the Milky Way treasures, however, you’ll want to explore Sagittarius through binoculars or a telescope.

Wednesday, September 12
Venus dominates the twilight sky after sunset. The dazzling object shines at magnitude –4.7 among the background stars of southern Virgo. The planet stands 8° high 30 minutes after sundown and sets shortly after 8:30 p.m. local daylight time. A telescope reveals Venus’ disk, which spans 35″ and appears about one-third lit. This evening, you also can find the waxing crescent Moon hanging 9° above the planet.

Thursday, September 13
The Moon moves eastward relative to the background stars at an average rate of about 13° per day. This motion carries it to a position 4° to Jupiter’s upper right this evening. The pretty pair will be on display from twilight until Jupiter sets around 9:30 p.m. local daylight time. Of course, the giant planet remains a conspicuous object all week. It currently shines at magnitude –1.9 and dominates the southwestern sky after Venus sets. Jupiter resides among the background stars of Libra the Scales; this evening, it lies 4° due east of Zubenelgenubi (Alpha [α] Librae). If you view the planet through a telescope, its disk spans 34″ and displays spectacular cloud-top detail.

Friday, September 14
The constellations Ursa Major the Great Bear and Cassiopeia the Queen lie on opposite sides of the North Celestial Pole, so they pivot around the North Star (Polaris) throughout the course of the night and the year. In the first half of September, these two constellations appear equally high as darkness falls. You can find Ursa Major and its prominent asterism, the Big Dipper, about 30° above the northwestern horizon. Cassiopeia’s familiar W-shape, which currently lies on its side, appears the same height above the northeastern horizon. As the night progresses, Cassiopeia climbs above Polaris while the Big Dipper swings below it.

Saturday, September 15
Uranus continues to climb higher in the late evening sky. The ice giant world lies in the southwestern corner of Aries, 12° south of the Ram’s brightest star, 2nd-magnitude Alpha (α) Arietis. At magnitude 5.7, Uranus glows brightly enough to see with the naked eye from under a dark sky, though binoculars make the task easier. To confirm a sighting, point your telescope at the suspected planet. Only Uranus shows a disk, which spans 3.7″ and sports a distinctive blue-green hue.

Sunday, September 16
First Quarter Moon arrives at 7:15 p.m. EDT. Our satellite rises in the southeast around 2 p.m. local daylight time, but it doesn’t become prominent until the Sun sets around 7 p.m. (The Moon then lies due south and about one-third of the way to the zenith.) After darkness falls, the Moon’s half-lit orb appears in southeastern Ophiuchus, to the right of Saturn and its host, Sagittarius the Archer.

Mars continues to put on a great show these September evenings. The Red Planet appears in the south-southeast as darkness falls and climbs highest in the south around 9:30 p.m. local daylight time. The world shines at magnitude –1.7, almost imperceptibly fainter than Jupiter. When seen through a telescope, surface features on the 18″-diameter disk continue to sharpen as the global dust storm dissipates. Mars currently lies among the dim background stars of southwestern Capricornus. And at 9 a.m. EDT today, the planet reaches perihelion — its closest approach to the Sun during its 1.88-year orbit — when it lies 128.4 million miles from our star.

In the Sky This Month

For much of the country, September is a perfect time for some evening skywatching. The nights are longer and cooler but not yet frigid, and there’s plenty to look at. The Summer Triangle remains in good view high in the sky, while Scorpius and Sagittarius wheel across the southwest. In the east, Pegasus, Andromeda, and Perseus climb into view after sunset.

September 11: Moon and Venus
Look for the Moon just above the western horizon at sunset. It’s a beautiful thin crescent. And it has a beautiful companion: the planet Venus. It is the brilliant “evening star,” to the left of the Moon.

September 12: Moon and Companions
The Moon forms a beautiful triangle with two brilliant planets this evening. Venus, the “evening star,” is close to the lower left of the Moon, with fainter Jupiter farther to the upper left.

September 13: Moon and Jupiter
Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system. It’s 11 times the diameter of Earth, and more massive than all the other planets and moons combined. And it is in great view tonight. The planet is quite close to the crescent Moon as night falls.

September 14: Royal Bonus
Cassiopeia, the queen, glistens in the northeast at nightfall and wheels high across the north later on. The queen’s five brightest stars form the shape of the letter W.

September 15: Moon and Antares
Antares, the bright orange heart of the scorpion, is among the biggest and heaviest stars in the galaxy. And it’s the dominant member of a vast complex of young, heavy stars. Antares stands directly below the Moon as darkness falls tonight.

Your Daily Cosmic Calendar for Tuesday, September 11

Take full advantage of solar dynamics in the early hours. The sun forms a supportive, 60-degree alliance with giant Jupiter (5:11am) and then moves on to make a harmonious trine with secret-keeper Pluto (8:32am). It’s not every day that the heart of our solar system connects favorably with two major celestial orbs. Slow your tempo later on when the moon in Libra squares off with Pluto in Capricorn (3:59pm) — beginning a 19 hour void lunar miasma that lasts until the moon enters formidable Scorpio at 11:16am tomorrow. Adding a touch of potential discord is a frictional 90-degree tie between Ceres and Saturn (4:10pm) — acting as a reminder to be extra sensitive with children and elders in your family circle. Later on enjoy playing a favorite musical instrument or exploring an artistic hobby as Juno contacts Neptune via an inspirational, 72-degree rapport (10:58pm).

[Note to readers: All times are now calculated for Pacific Daylight Time. Be sure to adjust all times according to your own local time so the alignments noted above will be exact for your location.]

Your Cosmic Weather Forecast for September 11

Jane Lyle, Astrologer
From The Astrology Room

Tuesday 11th September:

Warrior Mars returns to Aquarius today.

What began in May, when Mars first entered this airy fixed sign, comes around again. If things stalled over the summer, they can move forward now. With Aquarius, it’s about groups of people – so anything needing teamwork, sociability, or some kind of consensus is highlighted for action between now and mid-November.

Social media questions and issues are prominent topics too. And watch out for more tales of cyber crime, hacking, and techie incidents. Checking your own computer security is worthwhile.

Between now and the end of September things could get quite punchy, with tempers flaring up suddenly as people agitate for reforms, or rebel against the establishment.

Why?

Mars is arguing with rebellious Uranus in Taurus, and challenging the public – represented by the Moon’s Nodes in Leo.

Mars reactivates the total lunar eclipse of 27th July now as well. 4 degrees of Aquarius is now sensitive, and Mars switches it on.

Aquarian themes illuminated by July’s energetic eclipse include technology, electricity, humanitarian organisations and groups, inventive epiphanies, rebellions and upheavals.

There may be spectacular electrical storms or outages. People could be in the mood to call a strike or join a mass protest. There were tremendous storms around the date of July’s lunar eclipse, so we could well see more – particularly between 23rd – 28th September.

Mars enters musical, fishy Pisces on 15th November, 2018 – 1st January, 2019.

Moon Signs This Week

When the Moon is in Virgo

Moon – Virgo We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.

The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.

When the Moon is in Libra

Moon – Libra Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others’ approval is another.

The Moon in Libra generally favors the following activities: Relationship and partnership issues, activities involving teamwork and cooperation, activities that involve self-examination, activities related to beauty.

When the Moon is in Scorpio

Moon – Scorpio Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it’s passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won’t work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it’s an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness.

The Moon in Scorpio generally favors the following activities: Taxes, accounting, intimacy issues, psychological examinations, research, self-examination, getting rid of old things.

When the Moon is in Sagittarius

Moon – Sagittarius The Moon is at her most optimistic and upbeat in Sagittarius. We are motivated by a need to seek the truth, and we are ready to pursue a new vision. We are not interested in details just now. Instead, we focus on the big picture. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. Spontaneity is the key. We may also be inclined toward overdoing and overstating. We don’t want to plan ahead, and prefer to “wing it”.

The Moon in Sagittarius generally favors the following activities: Adventurous activities that involve “winging it”, travel, higher education, starting publishing projects, advertising, sports, physical activity.

We Will Remember

We Will Remember

Forget not the pain,
rain of the dead, dying.
Buildings crumbling,
security broken.
Attacks on U.S. soil,
financed by purchased oil.
Culture of hate towards,
cultured affluent compassion.
Sleepy eyes awake,
still clouded by liberal wake.
War continues against terror,
anti-American sentiment.
Learning liberty’s price,
responsible freedom’s way.
As the Revolutionary War,
the Alamo, Pearl Harbor,
we will remember 9-11.
Day of somber, reflection,
everyday heroes,
heroes unsung,
we will remember,
each September.
