A Very Joyous & Blessed Friday Morn’ To One And All! May You Be Blessed By The Goddess This Day!

Good morning to all our dear brothers & sisters of The Craft! I hope everyone is having a beautiful day. But as usual I didn’t stop our daily postings to discuss the weather. First thing first, tomorrow the mundane calendar has the Spring Equinox occurring. We have had numerous conversations about this date. First of all, tomorrow is my birthday and I know dare good and well I was not an Equinox baby. From the time of our ancestors to now, the stars and planets have moved. Perhaps they have moved enough to cause the Spring Equinox to move. We don’t agree with tomorrow being Spring Equinox let alone Ostara. So what is a witch to do? We came up with a solution that we hope you will agree with. Astronomy states tomorrow is the Equinox. We will accept that. We won’t accept tomorrow being Ostara. Ostara is one of our sacred Sabbat which is celebrated between March 20 – 21st. This is the ways of our ancestors. We will honor their ways. We will celebrate Spring Equinox tomorrow. But we will not celebrate Ostara on that date.

Our history has been manipulated by individuals that know nothing about us. If we are to reclaim our history, it is up to us to correct these wrongs. We can no longer tolerate standing by while others tell us when we celebrate this and celebrate that. We are Witches, Pagans, Wiccans and other traditions gathered here, we will reclaim our history and who better to tell it than us.

If it means separating the Spring Equinox and Ostara, so be it. We will not give in to those who know nothing about us and have manipulated our history. They have tried to wipe us off the face of this planet. They couldn’t do that, the Goddess saw to that. Now they want to move our Sabbats, no! If we are to correct the others misconceptions about us, we have to start somewhere. It might as well be with our most sacred of days, our Sabbats.

Let no person tell our history unless it is us!

*Footnote* It is funny, when I was growing up, I would have given anything to have been born on the Spring Equinox. Now that I am older and the world has accommodated me, it makes me angry. Angry because once again, we have been given the shaft!
