I will wait

Memorial Day Comments
I will wait

On this cool night I feel warmth
His touch on my body raises the heat within
The gentle caress of his hand brings us close
You came to me this night
We were drawn to this mountain top
Moon beams led the way
In our Scared Space we have come
Heather sways in the wind
Feet bare, we feel the power of the earth
Slowly making their way the Fae come
They have been called this night
For what will be done
Our lives will be changed
My love for this warrior will remain
Time will not distance us
For we have known each other since dawn
We stand on the mountain
Moon beams dance on the loch
This beauty is forever
He has brought his power for us
He raises me to heights unknown
I see all that can be seen
The unknown is known
I am strong under his light
We know no other
The call has come
We have answered our Goddess
Flutter of wings surrounds me
Gently, I lie upon the earth
Wind swirls around me
My gown floats beneath me
My arms raised, I call for my lover
Sweet sound of the pipes can be heard in the distance
Oh, how I want him
His voice which is so engaging
His hands which are so caring
The arms which hold me so close
My heart breaks knowing he will soon leave
For the time has come to raise arms
Our land will remain free
No storm will dissolve our resolution
But, blood will be shed
Mothers will weep
Wives will clutch their breasts in sorrow
We bury our men and sons
I will be still
I will wait on this spot
I am strong in your love
I am not ready for you to leave me
You raise me to unknown courage
I am more than I can be in your light
I will hold our land
Sword in hand we will be fire
So, say your goodbyes
I will wait….
