‘THINK on THESE THINGS’ for July 9th

‘THINK on THESE THINGS’
By Joyce Sequichie Hifler

We have often heard it said that God never closes one door unless He opens another. It is a great comfort to know we never really lose when we believe, for any defeat can be turned to good if we will absorb the lesson in it.

And yet, how often we refuse to go through that door that has been opened for us. It is so much easier to stand back and wail about the closed one. There seems to be a certain amount of glorification in defeat. It is a subtle something that hides in us and keeps us from doing well that which we know we are capable of doing. If we show strength, we are afraid we will have to stand alone.

Sometimes a door will close for us because that particular one would have caused us more unhappiness, but it never closes for punishment. God is love and love does not punish, nor does it have any power but to give what is right and good for us. With this knowledge, we can be grace walk through those doors that open to us and know it is right.

‘THINK on THESE THINGS’ for July 3rd

‘THINK on THESE THINGS’
By Joyce Sequichie Hifler

In the frantic search for something that has meaning to life, we have a tendency to do a thing simply because everyone else is doing it. It becomes a “thing,” a fad that must be done to keep on the inside circle. There’s little originality, little thought, but a lot of following along in beaten paths.

It is a mistaken idea to believe that all I see with my eyes and the limits of my thinking are the limits of the world. There is a tremendous interesting world out there never before investigated, and I am an individual like no one else.

It is quite marvelous to break through the shell of the middling and to discover the ability to see and feel, and to hear more keenly. Suddenly, I can feel more kindly, not because of who I am on this earth, but because I’m a child of God.

I can see more color, more light, more vision because I’m not being shown, I’m discovering. My world is no longer based on passing fancies, but on lasting built slowly within me, with love.

‘THINK on THESE THINGS’ for June 12

By Joyce Sequichie Hifler

So much has been written about happiness – the way to it, the reasons for it, the symbols of it – and still people search for that very special something that will assure happiness forever after. Of all the recipes for lasting happiness, we finally have to mix our own. But the one thing everyone has in common is the need for a little bit more. We have this and this, for which we are very thankful, but always the need is extended to that little bit more.

Happiness is like any other part of our lives, we must use wisdom in seeking it. We too often rush headlong into something that seems to be instant happiness, all the time telling ourselves we can right the wrong at a later time. But happiness doesn’t remain happiness for very long when it has such strings attached.

In order to e rightly happy we concentrate on getting, but it is giving that we find most necessary to mix into every recipe. To some happiness will always be elusive, never quite settling anywhere, never quite revealing itself, for they have yet to learn that happiness has the wings of angels, the breath of God, and the love of man, all hidden within Him.

Wishing You & Yours A Very Blessed & Happy Monday!

Monday Images, Pics, Comments, Graphics
Happy & Blessed Monday to all! I hope you are having a fantastic day. It is beautiful here. You know everything for the WOTC has been going great until just a few days ago. We finally located our building we are going to use as our office. Being a non-profit organization, we were able to secure the building at a very reasonable amount. Over the weekend, we moved our last computer equipment into our new building. Today, we were all sit up and ready to roll but it was a little hot in here. We decided to turn the air unit on to cool the place down. Well the a/c unit is history. We have had an electrician out here and it totally needs to be replaced. After purchasing our new server, the new building, we are flat ass busted. We have no money in the budget for a new unit let alone get the old fixed.

Perhaps you do not realize what all the WOTC does. We are not only an online community but we also provide services offline. We are a community resource in real life for our area Pagans. We contribute funds, assistances and any other ways we can help in natural disasters. We want to open a food pantry also for our local in need Pagan brother and sisters. You see, we are much more than just a spot on the net. We are a very real life Pagan activist organization.

We are strapped for money. Too continue our work on the net, as well as off the net, we need your help. We need to rebuild our funds not only to fix the a/c unit but to also continue our community work in our area.

We ask that you search your heart and please consider helping us. We do for so many, now we need your help.

It doesn’t have to be a huge amount, every dollar counts, even nickels, dimes and pennies. Please we are asking for your assistance in this matter.  In case, you loss this post, our donation button will be back up in the sidebar.

Thank you in advance for your help,

Lady Abyss
