DAILY MAGICKAL APPLICATIONS FOR WEDNESDAY

To the Romans, this day was called Dies Mercurii, or “Mercury’s day” Mercury was a popular character in the Roman pantheon. A messenger of the gods, he presided over commerce, trade, and anything that required skill or dexterity. The Celts also worshiped Mercury and eventually equated him with the Norse god Odin (some spelling variations on this name include Wotan, Wodin, and Wodan). In Norse mythologies, Odin, like Mercury, is associated with poetry and music. Interestingly enough, both Odin and Mercury were regarded as psychopomps, or the leaders of souls, in their individual mythologies.

Odin, one of the main gods in Norse mythology, was constantly seeking wisdom. He traveled the world in disguise as a one-eyed man with a long gray beard, wearing an old, beat-up hat and carrying a staff or a spear (which brings to my mind images of Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings). In the Old English language, this day of Mercury evolved into Wodnes daeg, “Woden’s day,” or Wednesday.

Wednesday carries all of the planetary and magickal energies and associations of the witty and nimble god Mercury himself. Some of these mercurial traits included good communication skills, cleverness, intelligence, creativity, business sense, writing, artistic talent, trickiness, and thievery. And don’t forget all of those wise and enigmatic qualities associated with the Norse god Odin/Wodin, not to mention the goddess Athena’s contributions of music, the arts, handmade crafts, and writing. Wednesdays afford excellent opportunities for seeking wisdom, changing your circumstances, and improving your skills, be they in trade and commerce, music and art, or in communication and writing.

Wednesday Is Ruled By Mercury

Wednesdays are wild and wacky days. They are for communication, change, cunning, and the arts. This is a Mercury day, and just its patron god this day is full of contradictions, change, and excitement. Some suggestions for Wednesday enchantments would include:

Pulling a little Wednesday color magic into your life by wearing purples or orange

Carrying a multipurpose agate with you and tapping into its various charms

Working with magical plants such as the fern for protection. This plant will also boost the power of any other magical plants with which it is arranged.

Incorporating lavender into charms and spells for transformation

Using the charming scent of lily of the valley to improve your memory, or working with the aspen tree for communication

Calling on Athena, patron of arts and crafts, for inspiration for a new project

Fanning out a Tarot spell to increase you creativity

Calling on Hermes on a Wednesday night to bring movement and good luck into your life

Be bold and daring today! Expand your knowledge of the Craft by working with the planetary energies of Mercury on this multifaceted day of the week. Consider the Greco-Roman gods Mercury and Hermes and all of the many lessons they have for you. Embrace change and movement, and work on your communication techniques. Conjure up a little good luck for yourself with that Mercury dime spell. Call on Athena to inspire you to try magickal arts and crafts and to be more creative in your own spellwork and witchery.

Meditate on Odin and see what you can discover about him. I wonder what sort of fabulous and fascinating magickal wisdom you will uncover? Odin is a shaman, after all; he may appear in many guises and faces. I guarantee that he will make you laugh at yourself before he is through with you, but you will learn. It’s up to you what you do with that knowledge. Will you let it shapeshift into wisdom?

Wednesday is the wild and wily day of the week, so try to go with the flow; don’t fight the quirky energies of the day. Most importantly, follow your heart, and always keep a good sense of humor, because of Wednesdays you will really need it.

Honesty is the Best Policy

May 2015 raises the issue of relationship: with ourselves, each other and our environment both near and far. We simply cannot go it alone, is the basic message of this month, nor can we expect others to do it for us. It is time to take full responsibility for ourselves whilst simultaneously recognising that we do nothing in isolation. Every thought, word and deed impacts and is impacted by everyone and everything around us. We act both as individuals and as a collective, standing alone and forever entwined. Within this central paradox of the human condition is found the mystery of the divine which expresses itself through us, as us and aside from us. Recognising ourselves as both instruments of creation and creators in our own right is necessary now, for we must, in coming months, be clear in our actions, knowing what is needed to further the common good rather than focusing only on what serves our personal gain. The two cannot be separated now, for if personal gain contravenes the common good we will reap only isolation. And if the common good appears as an obstacle to personal gain a realignment of priorities may be required.

The coming month brings a gradual shift in energy from the earthy physicality of April to a more changeable, cerebral energy as first Mercury (1st May), then Mars (12th May), then the Sun (21st May) enter airy Gemini. This contact-driven sign which seeks to communicate and connect, rarely settling anywhere for too long before attention is drawn to the next thing, reminds us to look up and around, to interact with those people, places and possibilities that co-exist all around us. The web of connectivity which binds us to each other and all beings, is as if illuminated now like never before. It needs our awareness and consideration: a wakeful response to the unavoidable truth that we are, indeed, one.

Whilst April saw us learning to live with an unknown future, in May we begin to seek answers and forge some plans. There is movement afoot and progress. The key issue, however, remains the direction and nature of progress made. ‘Don’t jump the gun’ is still good advice despite the gathering of planets in flexible Gemini. It is important to honour process now, not side-step it to more quickly reach our desired destination. We will get to where we’re going when we get there and we may not find out where it is until we do. In the meantime, May offers insight which will help optimise choices to be made in the coming months.

A Full Moon in Scorpio on 4th May demands much but offers more. It reminds us that what we refuse to acknowledge in ourselves does not fade away but instead seeps out here and there. The human psyche may be adept at avoidance when necessary, but we do not simply eradicate something from our energy field purely by wishing it away. Only by facing who and what we are can we change. We cannot complete a puzzle without looking at it, nor can we recreate ourselves without knowing the raw materials available for the task. This Moon shines her light on the darkest places within, reminding us that what we find in the shadows deserves our love and attention as much as anything we wilfully bring into the light. Revelations around the time of this Moon will inform the rest of the month, for what we see now is truth. It may not be palatable but we must acknowledge it nonetheless, refusing to turn away. In it are revealed the components for the next phase of our journey. Not nice and shiny newly polished personality parts that we happily place on display, but the tarnished, blackened artefacts we prefer to overlook or at least set aside for another day. That other day is now. Our future creativity relies upon our willingness to unleash the shadow and allow it expression in the light of awareness. This is how we truly come to know ourselves as whole.

Being whole, complete, integrated is a significant theme this month. It is not that we must be it, but that we must commit to the process of becoming it. This is something altogether different! It takes time and sometimes trouble, a willingness to be honest and open, vulnerable. A commitment to wholeness is a commitment to being unpopular at times, sometimes out of step, often challenged and challenging. It is not an easy ride but it is a liberating one and May places fuel in our spiritual tanks for the journey ahead. We may encounter a number of challenges, even crises, this month. Each, when lived fully with as much awareness as possible, has the capacity to take us ever deeper into the sacred space within, where dwells all the wisdom we could ever need. Each moment of this month is geared to bringing out of us what we already know, what already lives, hidden but vibrant, inside.

We may find ourselves covering familiar ground, encountering patterns we thought were left behind. But there’s no need for alarm. We haven’t slipped back into old ways and out of new possibilities. Instead we can demonstrate our willingness to change by responding to familiar dynamics in wholly new ways. There is something of an experimental air about this process, an opportunity to ‘act as if’ and see what happens. If you encounter old problems, familiar feelings, that same old argument with the same old person or a recurring obstacle you just can’t seem to surmount, resolve to try a different response, adopt a different attitude. If you always did ‘X’ try ‘Y’ for a change. Dare to be different, to stray from the script, ad lib for a while and see what happens. So little is set in stone right now that it would be a waste to stick with tried and tested methods, especially when they have gotten us nowhere fast before! Only by daring to be someone we haven’t yet been can we discover the full range of options available to us. Only in trying out the new can we discover what truly makes our heart sing in resonance and our spirit rise up to cry freedom.

From 10th May to the month end Asteroid Juno is conjunct Jupiter. In myth Juno and Jupiter were husband and wife, so this astrological alignment once again raises the issue of relationship and the spectre of the sacred marriage within and without. Juno speaks of commitment which endures and those areas of life in which a long term perspective is of most value. For some it may not be a love relationship but instead a dedication to work or family. There may be a cause that consumes us or a deep desire whose fulfilment has become the purpose of our life. In our hearts we each know where Juno calls us into long term commitment and why. We may resist at times, preferring a shorter and more expedient route, but she forever reminds us that some of the best results mature over time and develop in layers. They simply cannot be spun out of thin air on a whim and a prayer, for the process is as important as the outcome. In her conjunction with Jupiter, Juno invites reflection on where and why we commit. What do we seek by doing so and whose purpose do we serve? An alignment with Pluto in Capricorn reminds us that the most powerful commitments are those in which we are prepared to offer ourselves up to the process rather than seek the outcome, allowing the fusion of our energy with that of another person, place or cause, to work its magic deep within us.

Likewise, if we harbour misplaced commitments some cutting of ties may be necessary. Time and energy are too precious to waste in places parched of life-giving spirit. We are all called, this month, to cast-aside rose-tinted glasses and take a long, hard look at where we expend our energy and why. Doing so now will give us a head start when Saturn begins to square Neptune later this year and illusions without substance dissolve like melting snow. A New Moon in Taurus on 18th May offers pragmatism together with intuitive knowing about where true soul connections are found. It is these we must nurture in the coming months as we approach the Saturn/Neptune alignment which will take us through 2016. We are currently choosing our teams and finding our tribe. They may not turn out to be who we anticipated but as we’ve already seen, this is a time of doing things differently, not repeating old patterns whilst hoping for new results. The future is still unformed and up for grabs. We are creating it here and now as we speak, think, act and feel. This month we can reflect on who we want beside us in this next creative phase.

Mercury turns retrograde in Gemini on 19th May (until 11th June), supporting just such reflection. Rather than disrupting communication this Mercury enhances it if we truly seek for honest exchange rather than surface platitudes. It shows us where we align with others and where our paths diverge; where we need the lightest touch, moving on without so much as a backward glance, and where we need to connect and engage to establish deeper intimacy. If we find ourselves frustrated by communication breakdown or growing inter-personal distance, it may well be that the distance was always there but is simply more obvious now and can no longer be ignored.

Once the Sun enters Gemini on 21st May we can better access the flexibility needed to rapidly assess the world around us and make the best decisions accordingly. A square between Neptune and Mars from 21st to the month end, incorporating Mercury from 26th, requires careful handling. Honesty is called for, especially the risky kind. Whatever we try to hide or deny at this point will make itself doubly felt in a month’s time when Mercury travels direct across the same zodiac degrees. Far better that we deal with things now, no matter how difficult it may seem. Honesty is most definitely the best policy as May comes to an end, which is especially worth bearing in mind if it is someone else’s honesty we would rather avoid! Thoughts and feelings shared authentically now, even if tough to hear, lay the groundwork for deeper intimacy in due course. If there is much to be aired at this point it is because much has been avoided previously. How we proceed from here, especially in our most significant relationships, rests upon how well we embrace the current challenge to be straight, honest and true in all that we say and all that we do.

Honesty sounds simple but can be incredibly hard at times! We barely notice the petty deceptions and denials of our everyday consciousness, so familiar we become with their presence. But as May comes to a close they will become increasingly evident, as will the consequences of allowing them free reign. It is time to take ourselves in hand, express what we think, how we feel and invite others to do the same. If we can all do this with the courageous compassion fitting of a spiritual warrior who pursues deep truth above all else, we can emerge victorious together, honouring the priceless value of both sharing and receiving truth with an open heart and an expansive mind. Your truth, my truth, personal and ultimate truth. All need to be aired. In doing so we meet ourselves and each other, deepen our connections and foster the trust and intimacy necessary for the road ahead.

MESSENGER’s Last Day on Mercury
Image Credit: NASA, Johns Hopkins Univ. APL, Arizona State Univ., CIW

Explanation: The first to orbit Mercury, the MESSENGER spacecraft came to rest on this region of Mercury’s surface yesterday. Constructed from MESSENGER image and laser altimeter data, the scene looks north over the northeastern rim of the broad, lava filled Shakespeare basin. The large, 48 kilometer (30 mile) wide crater Janacek is near the upper left edge. Terrain height is color coded with red regions about 3 kilometers above blue ones. MESSENGER’S final orbit was predicted to end near the center, with the spacecraft impacting the surface at nearly 4 kilometers per second (over 8,700 miles per hour) and creating a new crater about 16 meters (52 feet) in diameter. The impact on the far side of Mercury was not observed by telescopes, but confirmed when no signal was detected from the spacecraft given time to emerge from behind the planet. Launched in 2004, the MErcury Surface, Space ENvironment, GEochemisty and Ranging spacecraft completed over 4,000 orbits after reaching the Solar System’s innermost planet in 2011.

Mercury in Taurus

Now Until  Apr 30, 2015

Earthy Taurus offers a sturdy environment for speedy Mercury, the planet of communication. This period is one in which solid values, concrete ideas and practical perspectives are likely to take on greater significance for all of us.

Mercury generally excels at flexibility, but Taurus is arguably the least flexible of all the signs. We may find ourselves digging in and taking rigid positions when opposed by different ideas, concepts or facts at this time. It’s vital that we not lose our ability to stay open-minded to overcome Taurean resistance to whatever is new or different.

Ideally, Mercury in Taurus connects us with the earthy realities that will nurture the growth and development of our ideas. Taurus offers a rich soil of values and commitment that can provide resources to carry thoughts from conception to birth. Slow, careful conversations enable us to consider alternatives without ever losing sight of fundamental values and underlying practical issues.

Mercury tends to be a bit less gabby in Taurus than in most other signs. Some good examples are Johnny Depp, Clint Eastwood and Miles Davis, all born in chatty Gemini, but with communication styles reflective of their less talkative Mercurys in Taurus.

Actors Alec Baldwin, Russell Crowe, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Uma Thurman, Renee Zellweger, Annette Bening, Brooke Shields, George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Jessica Lange, Jack Nicholson and Billy Dee Williams belong to the Merc in Taurus group. Singers Barbra Streisand, Bono, Wynonna Judd, Janet Jackson, Cher, Carnie Wilson, Pete Townsend and Joe Cocker were also born with Mercury in the sign of the throat.

Other public figures with this placement include Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, John F. Kennedy, Gary Kasparov, Sally Ride, Ram Dass, Orson Welles, Joe Louis and Pope John Paul II.

Ah, Why not? Let’s See What the Planets Have In Store During The Week of 11 – 17

Weekly Astrology: May 11-17, 2014

All the planets are coming out to play!

Maria DeSimoneMaria DeSimone on the topics of Venus, Scorpio, moon, full moon, astrology

The sky is so busy this week you might not know which energy is affecting you or when. Thankfully, this handy-dandy overview should help you keep those planets straight.

Mars is still traveling retrograde in Libra, and Venus is now in fiery Aries. There may be tension in your love life because you want what you want, thanks to Venus, but you can’t seem to get it because of Mars.

On the same day, Mercury will square off with Neptune. This is the most significant red flag aspect for communication matters. Information is nebulous, at best, and deceptive at worst. Your mind is prone to fantasy and idealization, and you might want to believe in something so much that you ignore the whispers of your rational mind. Avoid signing contracts or making major decisions near this day!

Monday, May 12: Mercury in Gemini trine Mars Retrograde in Libra

Communication energy lightens up on Monday, when Mercury moves to trine Mars. You’ll think quickly and be ready to act on your thoughts, but this aspect is too close to the tail of that fuzzy Mercury-Neptune square. Resist the temptation and wait until later in the week.

Wednesday, May 14: Full Moon in Scorpio and Venus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn

Wednesday may bring a day of emotional reckoning. An emotionally severe Full Moon in Scorpio will link up closely to karmic Saturn. Letting go of a deep dark secret or personal demon is called for, but Saturn demands you make sure you’ve learned the lesson you are meant to learn  relating to this situation first. Emotions will be intense, that’s for sure!

On the same day, Venus will square off with Pluto, the planet of power and control. Perhaps you need to let go of one of your more obsessive love tendencies so it will no longer eat you alive? Or, if there are unsavory financial happenings in your life, it’s possible you’ll have to pay the piper now.

Thursday, May 15: Mercury sextile Venus and Uranus, and Venus conjunct Uranus

Thursday is the best day of the week, by far. Mercury will be well-behaved, as he’ll link up to Venus and Uranus in a favorable way. Your decisions will be revolutionary, but gracefully executed. Also, love planet Venus will connect to Uranus. Romance should sizzle! On Sunday, cosmic lovers Venus and Mars will oppose one another.

Your Horoscopes for Wednesday, April 7th

Although life might seem more enjoyable with the Moon traveling through lively Leo, there are still complications that can set obstacles in our path. We may be feeling the electric buzz of nervous energy since cerebral Mercury aligns with shocking Uranus this morning. As if things weren’t moving fast enough already, Mercury jumps into jittery Gemini at 10:56 am EDT. However, a sobering Venus-Saturn aspect cools us down and delays satisfaction.

Aries Horoscope

(Mar 21 – Apr 19)

Your mind may wander in so many directions all at once that it’s challenging to concentrate today. You are so optimistic now that you might actually believe you can successfully juggle everything you have in process. But even your enthusiasm has its limits. Stop for a moment and take careful inventory of what you’re doing. Considering what could be temporarily eliminated enables you to fully focus on those tasks that should be top priority.

Taurus Horoscope

(Apr 20 – May 20)

You could miss your chance if you don’t take immediate action today. You have been waiting for the right moment long enough and further analysis won’t likely bring you any more clarity than you already have. Although you cannot stop the thoughts from going in circles, you can lessen the noise by boldly moving ahead, even if you aren’t one hundred percent sure of your choice. Nearly any movement now is better than none at all. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Gemini Horoscope

(May 21 – Jun 20)

Your message could get lost in a flurry of too many words today even if you have lots of clever ideas to share. Examine your motives closely; chatty Mercury’s yearly return to your sign can make you even more loquacious than ever. If you want to be understood by others, slow down your delivery; keep your presentation short and to the point. However, if your goal is just to amuse yourself, you really don’t need an audience at all.

Cancer Horoscope

(Jun 21 – Jul 22)

The universe is giving you permission to escape today, even if only in your mind. Luckily, you can use your imagination to travel anywhere in time and space, for your thoughts seem as if they are almost real. Tread carefully; don’t make the mistake of believing that fantasy is a replacement for real-life experiences. Visualize all the amazing possibilities before choosing where to go next. The sky is the limit

Leo Horoscope

(Jul 23 – Aug 22)

There just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day to connect with everyone on your mind. Your popularity feels quite lovely, but it also distracts you from the work you should be doing today. However, you could have the best of both worlds now if you concentrate on enjoying your interactions with others while you further develop your business contacts. Networking can be fun as you continue to establish your place within the community. You don’t have to be the star of the show to have a good time.

Virgo Horoscope

(Aug 23 – Sep 22)

Although you might appear to be overwhelmed at work today, you’re a lot calmer than others realize. Your current strategy involves keeping your options alive because you think that following multiple paths is your most efficient way to reach a specific goal. Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks of your plan; it has an excellent chance of coming together just as you imagine as long as you aren’t sidelined by doubt. Believe in yourself and trust the process.

Libra Horoscope

(Sep 23 – Oct 22)

You’re more than willing to go along with someone who presents a good idea, even if it isn’t part of your original agenda. However, you might be quite concerned now because you’re beginning to realize that this new opportunity may be much bigger than you expect. You must make a critical decision that could have a significant impact on the direction of your life, so take your time before choosing your path. Fate is in your own hands today; you don’t always have to say yes to please others.

Scorpio Horoscope

(Oct 23 – Nov 21)

You’re often the one who turns over every stone when searching for an answer because you are more afraid of what you don’t know than what you might actually find. However, you are tempted to take a shortcut today and jump to conclusions instead of investigating every possibility. Fortunately, a spontaneous and creative approach can still provide you with exactly what you need and enable you to enjoy yourself in the process. Embracing the unknown is an adventure all on its own.

Sagittarius Horoscope

(Nov 22 – Dec 21)

It’s annoying today if someone repeats what you previously said, even if you are given full credit for the idea. But instead of criticizing others for their lack of originality, just be appreciative that your message was taken to heart. It is often said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so simply accept the compliment and move on. Seeing your ideas come to fruition is all that really matters

Capricorn Horoscope

(Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Although it feels refreshing when your mood lightens today, it might also make you a bit anxious because you believe you should be more productive. But it’s challenging to let go of unfinished business, even if it’s only for a temporary escape. The truth is that a little bit of relaxation can be quite rejuvenating. Taking some time off now gives you extra energy to accomplish your ambitious goals later on. Cultivating a healthy balance is a big step toward creating a happier life.

Aquarius Horoscope

(Jan 20 – Feb 18)

You might feel as if you’re fighting an uphill battle today, especially if there are unpleasant or boring tasks to complete. But if your job is enjoyable, then you should be able to find your groove and create some magic. It’s your choice; no matter what you’re doing now, you can turn it into a game. It’s not the activity but your attitude that makes the difference between work and play.

Pisces Horoscope

(Feb 19 – Mar 20)

You are highly animated today, which makes others assume that you want to be a part of the fun. However, your words may be misleading, hiding your current need for solitude. Fortunately, you can have your cake and eat it too; if you burn off some of your mental energy with your friends, it will be easier to settle down for some quiet contemplation in the evening. Just be sure to add your creative touch to everything you do.

Get A Jump on Tomorrow, Your Horoscopes for May 7th

Your Daily Horoscopes for Friday, May 2nd

Although we wish we could explore all the choices in front of us now, our resources are limited. Meanwhile, the curious Gemini Moon distracts us with one thing after another. Additionally, we are drawn to new experiences that might bring pleasure as sweet Venus enters pioneering Aries this evening. However, we are more likely to act cautiously than behave impulsively while cerebral Mercury is restricted by its tense opposition to stern Saturn.

Aries Horoscope

(Mar 21 – Apr 19)

You may have sent a clear message to your coworkers if you recently stood up for your values. However, you can’t rest on your laurels now; you must solidify what you already started. Although you might want to change directions, it’s not wise yet to let others in on your plans. Instead of saying what’s on your mind, it’s less complicated if you withhold your intentions until you’re certain about your new path. Make the most of your power by conserving it until you are fully ready to take action.

Taurus Horoscope

(Apr 20 – May 20)

You probably feel as if you’re running into walls every which way you turn today because your current approach doesn’t seem to be quite good enough. Your friends might not be very supportive of your new plans now that chatty Mercury opposes naysaying Saturn in your 7th House of Others. Don’t try to talk your way around the resistance. Instead, step back and take time to further develop your ideas before trying again. Patience and persistence make for a winning combination.

Gemini Horoscope

(May 21 – Jun 20)

Uncharacteristically, you might say yes to a social invitation out of a sense of obligation today, rather than from your desire to connect with others. However, your participation won’t be worth it if you are only stepping through the motions. Don’t let anyone push you into an extracurricular activity now unless you truly want to do it. Say no politely; everyone needs time to themselves now and then to replenish their spirits. There’s no reason to apologize for taking care of your heart.

Cancer Horoscope

(Jun 21 – Jul 22)

It could be annoying if someone arrives at your doorstep today with an opportunity that appears too good to be true — because it probably is. Unfortunately, progress on any project is painstakingly slow now and nothing much will happen unless you decide to put in the extra time and energy. However, your efforts are thwarted as messenger Mercury forms an opposition with authoritative Saturn. Drag potential problems out into the open before they turn things sour, so they can be handled once and for all. Clearing the air might be a cathartic process for everyone.

Leo Horoscope

(Jul 23 – Aug 22)

Although you are fully capable of taking the initiative when given the chance, caution sets in now as you attempt to reestablish balance in your life. Nevertheless, you can impress others with a stellar show today. But shortcuts won’t be rewarded; it’s crucial to start at the beginning and perform each step in the correct order. Don’t waste energy stressing about deadlines since everything is likely to take longer than you expect anyway. Time is an illusion but your authenticity endures.

Virgo Horoscope

(Aug 23 – Sep 22)

You might experience a setback today if your current plans are overly ambitious. But don’t let your disappointment stop you from accomplishing something very real. You may need a quick refresher course in how to maintain a healthy level of confidence so you can improve your attitude. Reevaluate the practicality of your goals and if they stand up to your rigorous analysis, don’t shy away from putting in some long hours of hard work to achieve them. Success doesn’t come easily, but it’s worth the effort if you really want to make a difference.

Libra Horoscope

(Sep 23 – Oct 22)

It seems nearly impossible to circumvent authority now, so you must deal with control issues whether you like it or not. Unfortunately, you don’t appreciate being told no or having other people delay your progress. Your diplomatic charm won’t get you past the current resistance. However, engaging in an honest dialogue can set the stage for healthy compromise and a more harmonious working environment.

Scorpio Horoscope

(Oct 23 – Nov 21)

Relationships are hard enough on their own, yet an intense interaction with a friend or partner could make the dynamics even more complicated today. You may be vying for control now that you’re aware of the specific differences of opinion. Nevertheless, it’s not a good idea to push for resolution right away because this might lead to an emotional meltdown. Simply be as clear as possible when communicating your position and then let it go. You can still keep your heart open even if you move on.

Sagittarius Horoscope

(Nov 22 – Dec 21)

You’re a natural philosopher and are eager to discuss a complex situation at work today as long as you can maintain a bit of emotional detachment. But don’t try to convince anyone of your moral superiority or you could alienate someone you would rather have as an ally. Think twice before heading toward the most intense topic possible. Instead, allow the discussion to meander without trying to manipulate the outcome. Surprisingly, you just might find yourself arriving at your destination sooner than you expect.

Capricorn Horoscope

(Dec 22 – Jan 19)

You bristle at the thought of someone impeding your progress and yet you might have to acquiesce to an authority who successfully wrestles the controls away from you today. You may be tempted to fight back, but it’s futile to pretend to be more informed than you actually are. Unfortunately, this kind of defensive maneuver will likely create more trouble than it’s worth. Save time for everyone involved by being completely honest from the start. It’s more productive to collaborate now than to waste energy in needless competition.

Aquarius Horoscope

(Jan 20 – Feb 18)

You may experience unexpected panic now because you realize that time is running out and you still have lots of loose ends to tie up. Unfortunately, some things might just have to be left undone. Reset your priorities early in the day so you can stick to your plan since changing your schedule isn’t something you like to do under pressure. Don’t fight against the current circumstances; be willing to let go of your earlier expectations and move on. Adaptability is your secret weapon today.

Pisces Horoscope

(Feb 19 – Mar 20)

Your conservative response to financial struggles might be the most sensible approach in the moment, but it probably isn’t the best long-term solution. Tightening your belt may be necessary now because you can’t spend what you don’t have. But the problem is more complex and would benefit from a strategic attack on multiple levels. Fiscal responsibility combined with your own personal version of a stimulus package could help turn things around. Investing some money in your future can be just as important as saving it in the present.
