VIRGO STRONG
Meticulous, discriminating, pure, practical, health conscious, hard working. Can be hyper-critical, petty and perfectionistic.
LIBRA STRONG
Even-handed, harmonious, artistic, diplomatic, balancing, strong sense of fairness. Can be over- compromising, appeasing, judgmental.
PISCES STRONG
Compassionate, sensitive, self-sacrificing, gentle, intuitive. Can be escapist, impractical, hyper- sensitive, gullible.
BALANCE OF ELEMENTS
FIRE WEAK
We are not very goal-oriented right now, or motivation to pursue our goals may be waning/lacking. Changes feel overwhelming. Enthusiasm may be low, we argue less, and we think more than we take action.
BALANCE OF MODES
FIXED WEAK
We may be open to change but may not have much follow-through.
MUTABLE STRONG
We are flexible, adaptable, willing, open to change, and possibly flighty or nervous.

With much of the recent cosmic turmoil behind us, do take notice of the calmer energies and set aside time to self-reflect. You aren’t the same being you were last October, in part because of moving through some quite challenging times but also due to acceleration in your waking up process. You now see the world and yourself through new eyes, and you can catapult your forward movement by recognizing this and then applying what you have learned.
In 2015 alone your outer world has changed dramatically, much of the shift unrecognizable when you are immersed in it. A couple of years from now, however, you will look back in amazement of how radically different things are – from everyday life impacted by technology to realizing more and more that we are global humans living on a small planet.
With so much around you changing, use our current energies to reflect on and shift outdated ideas and methods you developed long ago. As a divine changemaker, you want to be up to date with yourself and this often requires changing how you approach both big and small things.
Check in with your heart’s wisdom regularly now, inviting insights about habitual ways of being no longer serving you. Keep this simple. You don’t need to search incessantly to discover what’s become out of balance. Pay attention to things you normally do and ways you interact with the world. Invite spirit to show you what to update in your approach.
Here is an example. Consider when and how you approach a task or going to work. If you are applying punitive thinking, becoming overtired just thinking about the task, or associating work with great effort or disdain – update your approach. Life is meant to be joyful!
As one of those at the forefront of the great changes on Earth, self-reflect regularly on how this applies to you and positive changes you can make personally to be all you can be. Divine changemakers are alive now to master change and to be positive role models for others ready to step into their true power to create.
Focus on being a key influencer – impacting others and the planet in ways that make a difference. Avoid getting too caught up in what this means – the ego does like to attach itself to roles – simply do your best to embody the energies of your divine changemaker self. Make your best effort to apply those energies into everything you do and into all interactions with others. Easier said than done, of course, but do the best you can in each instance.
When you have self-doubts, remember that you are wired at a DNA level for your divine changemaker role. This comes from lifetimes on the path of awakening and a unique mission involving being on Earth now during the most amazing transformative shift the Earth has ever known. Fully utilize your divine changemaker heritage to help create a more loving world.
For many, Friday is the last work day of the week. It’s considered the fifth day of the work week and, also, the “cut loose” day. By Friday night, people are out having a party. That makes Friday the perfect day for lust, banish, fast-grant, and find spells . This day is so powerful (energy wise). That’s why whatever you do on this day will, usually, have a strong effect. If you want things out of your life, the darkness and power, associated with this day, bring the energy you need for that. If you need strong, immediate results, this is your day, as well.
Get a white candle that will burn down in due time. You will have to inscribe it (see below), so it should be bigger than a birthday candle, and you will also have to watch it burn down to nothing (see below), so it should not be a 24 hour votive light. A plain white altar candle or, better yet, a white “bride and groom” figural candle, will be right.
Prepare an altar and decorate it with those things precious to you and to the one you love. Using a rose thorn from a white rose bush, inscribe the words “All my love come to me” 3 times on the candle. Place the inscribed candle in the center of the altar and light it. For the entire time the candle burns, gaze upon it and visualize your love coming to you in nakedness and beauty. When the candle burns out, collect the wax puddle that remains, wrap it up with the mementoes from the altar and keep it in a safe place.
The result of this spell will not be “zombie” or “victim” thrall-love; but you will receive ALL the love that person has for you — which may be less than, as much as, or more than the love you have for him. Accept the degree of love you receive with grace and tenderness.
If at some future time you no longer wish to receive that man’s love, dispose of the wax puddle in a simple ceremonial way. Depending on your mood, it can be burned on a fire, buried, thrown into running water, mailed to him, ground to shavings and baked into a cake – or whatever you feel is appropriate. But it is your responsibility to dispose of it if you no longer want to be loved in any degree by that man.
Fill a small pot with a handful of rosemary leaves, thirteen anise seeds, two cloves, three rose geranium leaves, a tablespoon of honey, and some grapefruit juice. Place the pot over a fire and bring the brew to a boil. Strain the mixture through a sieve. Add some of the liquid to a glass of wine or fruit juice, and then serve it to the man or woman from whom you desire love, or use it as an offering.
In a small pot, put one cup of Spring water, 1/4 cup grapefruit juice, 1 teaspoon fennel, 1 teaspoon vervain, 3 pinches of nutmeg. Place the pot on a fire, or on the stove in a stainless steel pot, and bring it to a boil. Sit before the pot with a pink candle, and concentrate on the man or woman from whom you wish love, chanting his or her name out loud for thirteen minutes. Remove the pot from the fire and strain the potion through cheesecloth. Add a bit of honey to sweeten the potion and give it to the one you desire. Be sure to prepair and administer the potion on a Friday night.
If you sneeze on a Thursday, you will kiss a stranger.
If you sneeze on a Saturday, you will see your true love on the following day.
If two lovers sneeze at the same time, it is an omen of good fortune.
Itchy lips are a sign that you will soon be kissed. If the right side of your body itches, it means that your lover is thinking of you. An itchy nose indicates a secret admirer.
Some witches, mainly Wiccans I believe, do their spellwork on certain days of the week, depending on the theme of the spell. They believe that the day of the week holds a special significance to the theme of their spell.
Here are the weekly planetary correspondences. You can use these to determine which days of the week you may have better luck with the spells you are casting.
Monday: The Moon; best for emotionally based spellwork, such us attracting confidence and intuition, protection spells, clairvoyance etc..
Tuesday: Mars; great for spells to inspire passion and energy such as a spell to boost confidence. Mars is a warrior, so if you need a spiritual battle, this is the day for it. Tuesday is also a good day for protection spells.
Wednesday: Mercury; Great for communication (worldly or otherwise). Good for spells involving the granting of information. Like Willow in Buffy when she says “Reveal!”
Thursday: Jupiter; probably the best day for spell work as Jupiter is so benevolent and loves to give. All prosperity spells or luck and success spells should be done on this day (be sure to keep it with the waxing moon).
Friday: Venus. . .ahhh, sweet love. This is a day for love spells and also a good day to offer your love to the gods/goddesses of choice. As the Cure say, “Friday, I’m in Love!”
Saturday: Saturn. A restrictive energy. Good for banishing spells and ridding old energies. Binding spells are also potent on this day. Also good for focusing and developing patience (something a lot of witches don’t have). Typically, I do not do spells on Saturdays unless it is to get rid of unwanted energies or desires.
Sunday: The Sun; Truth in all matters. The sun is great for truth spells and generating warmth in your heart. If you feel that you are frigid inside and holding tons of resentment, use the Sun energy on Sundays to shine through a cloudy heart.
On Fridays cast for love, luxury, pleasure and entertainment
Planetary Influence: Venus
Household Symbols: A sea shell, a fountain, fresh flowers, your wedding ring or wedding phot, red or pink paper hearts, apples and cherries.
Color: Pink and aqua green
Kitchen Spices: Thyme and sugar

The day of Venus, Friday takes its name from Frigga, the Goddess of Love and Transformation. She rules the spiritual aspects of people as they manifest on the physical. Because of this, Friday is sometimes thought of as unpredictable.
Magical aspects: love, friendship, reconciliation, and beauty. Friday has often been associated with relaxation as it is at the end of the week, but the good feeling that comes with Friday also has a lot to do with the fact that it is ruled by the planet Venus – The Goddess of Love. Lusterless relationships and disputes may be settled on Fridays with the aid of a spell to Venus and perhaps a small personal sacrifice.
Friday is also associated with Caribbean wealth spells and has been known to improve friendships, Platonic love and increase your desirability. Be careful what you wish for on Friday, Venus’ eyes could be smiling!
This is the proper day of the week to perform spells and rituals involving love, romance, marriage, sexual matters, physical beauty, partnerships, friendships, social activities, strangers, pleasure, music, incense, perfumes, nature, and arts and crafts.
Friday(Venus): Love, friendship, reconciliation, and beauty.
Waxing Moon
The Waxing Moon is the ideal time for magick to draw things toward you.
Moon phase: Second Quarter
Moon Sign: Aquarius
Aquarius: Rebellious energy. Time to break habits and make abrupt changes. Personal freedom and individuality is the focus.
Moon enters Pisces 1: 18 am
Pisces: The focus is on dreaming, nostalgia, intuition, and psychic impressions. A good time for spiritual or philanthropic activities.
Sun enters Scorpio 1: 47 pm
Scorpio: Increases awareness of psychic power. Precipitates psychic crises and ends connections thoroughly. People tend to brood and become secretive.
Color: Pink
Incense: Mulberry

Love magick is a perennial popular topic. However, there is more to this topic than meets the eye. There are many enchanting layers here for us to explore on this day of the week. What about creating a loving home, or producing a loving and nurturing family? What about keeping your intimate relationships vital and on track? How about promoting happy, healthy, and enduring friendships? See, there is more to be considered than just the “You shall be mine…” type of fictional love spell.
Don’t forget that many of the deities associated with Fridays are also parents. So, yes, while this is the day to work on romance, sex, and love spells, there is additional magick to be considered here, which makes Fridays a more well-rounded and bigger opportunity for witchery than many folks ever truly realize. The truest, strongest magick always comes from the heart.

If cat magick has tickled your fancy, then for further study read my book The Enchanted Cat: Feline Fascinations, Spells &Magick. In the meantime, try sharing red berries with your partner some enchanted evening. Work that meditation, and see what other mysteries Freya has to teach you. Wear a Venus planetary color and call on the Goddess for a little inner sparkle. Burn some floral incense, light up some rosy candles, and set a romantic mood. Try wearing a little copper jewelry, and see how it affects you and your Friday magick. Get those potpourri and philter recipes going, and see what you can conjure up.
Advancing your magickal skills takes drive, ambition, and passion. Work with Eros to discover just how much enthusiasm, inspiration, and drive he can bring into your days, for the imagination is a place where dreams flourish and ideas come to fruition.
Call on these fertile and romantic powers, and create your own unique spells and charms. Just think of all the magickal information that you can now add to your repertoire of witchery. Lastly, remember this: when you combine imagination and a loving heart with magick, you’ll succeed every time.

Ruler: Freya, Venus
Colors: Emerald green or pink
Power Hours: Sunrise and the 8th, 16th, and 24th hours following.
Key Words: Love, money, health
It is easy to spot the ruler of this day by its name. In the word Friday, we see the roots of the name of the Norse goddess Freya, a goddess of love and fertility, and the most beautiful and propitious of the goddesses thus the verse “Friday’s child is loving and giving.”
In Spanish this day of the week is called Viernes and is derived from the goddess Venus. Matters of love, human interaction, the fluidity of communication, sewing and the creation of artistic garments, household improement, shopping, and party planning all fall under the aspects of Friday and its ruling planet, Venus.
Friday’s angels are Ariel/Uriel, Rachiel, and Sachiel. Rachiel also concerns himself with human sexuality and is a presiding spirit of the planet Venus.
On Fridays, the hour of sunrise and every eight hours after that are also ruled by Venus, and that makes these times of the day doubly blessed. These four hours are the strongest four hours for conducting ritual. Check the local newspaper, astrological calendar, or almanac to determine your local sunrise.
Witches
As the sun sets
The moon rises.
We are called.
Gathering deep in the forest
Our capes flap in the wind.
Hoods covering our head
As we form our circle
Hand in hand we take our places.
The elements are called forth:
Wind, rain, earth and fire.
We are filled with their energy.
In a low chant
We call for our Mother.
The Goddess answers our call,
She stands before us,
Center in our circle.
We lower our heads to her grace.
Our circle is filled with her love.
Energy flows from her to us.
Slowly we rise;
Our feet no longer touch the ground.
Wind rips through the trees.
Flames raise high from the fire.
Rain beats on the earth below
Yet, we remain dry.
Power transfers from Sister to Sister.
The Goddess’s influence is felt.
Sounds from the forest fill the air.
All is alive.
Energy fills all there,
We know who we are,
The Witches of the present.
Those long past have joined us.
We know our beginning.
We know our past.
We know our future,
Witches now and forever.
A Witch’s Prayerbook

1 glass bottle or jar with cap mixing bowl funnel (you can make one with a rolled up piece of paper)
9 herbs of choice from list: (Acacia, Aloe, Angelica, Anise, Ash, Basil, Birch, Blackberry, Blueberry, Broom, Caraway, Carnation, Cedar, Cinquefoil, Clover, Cotton, Cypress, Dill, Eucalyptus, Fennel, Flax, Foxglove, Grass, Hazel, Heather, Holly, Irish Moss, Ivy, Lilac, Mandrake, Marigold, Mistletoe, Mugwort, Mulberry, Oak, Olive, Pine, Primrose, Raspberry, Rice, Rose, Rosemary, Sandalwood, Spanish Moss, Thistle, Valerian, Violet, Willow)
Pour the nine selected herbs into the mixing bowl one by one. As you pour each one in say these words (replace the blank with the name of the herb):
“________ that protects, protect my home and all within.”
Once all of the herbs have been added to the bowl, mix them with your hands. Visualize you home being safe and secure as you mix. Cap the bottle or jar and bury it outside, in front of your front step. If you live in an apartment or other place that would prevent you from doing this, place the jar some where out of view but still near your doorway.
Fill one jar with the following:
Cinnamon [for dream Magick]
Nutmeg [for good luck]
Allspice [healing]
Ginger [lunar Magick]
Basil [protection]
Fennel seeds [spiritual healing]
Garlic [spiritual purification]
Marjoram [protection]
Sage [spiritual purification]
Cloves [protection]
Mustard seed [protection]
Before you do any scrying or any kind or psychic work, inhale the scent deeply and shake the jar gently.
To make an herbal cleansing bottle, pour a layer of sand in a large clear bottle. Add layers of dried herbs, one at a time: first rosemary; then lemon peel, sage, cedar, black peppercorns, lavender, dill, bay leaf, and rowan. When the bottle is full, focus cleansing protective energy into the herbs and sand, and see a golden light radiating from the bottle. Visualize the herbs driving away negative influences. Cork and seal the bottle with white wax. Using a permanent marker, draw the Algiz rune on one side of the bottle, and on the other side draw a pentagram. Set the bottle near your front or back door, and every six months, uncap, Pour herbs out into the woods or your compost heap, and thoroughly wash and dry the bottle before filling it with a new round of herbs.
