The Natural World

 

Let the sun beat down its

blistering heat,

That warms the earth beneath my

feet, The waves break gently upon the

shore,

The tide ebbs and flows for

evermore.

 

Let the moon above with gentle hands,

Bathe the earth in silvery strands,

As a trillion stars in the heavens

deep,

Twinkle and sparkle in gentle

sleep.

 

Let the flowers turn their pretty

heads,

Their yellows and blues and pinks

and reds,

Dance and sway in the summer

breeze,

That gently touches the tallest

trees.

 

The goddess works in harmony,

With her lover to bring to you

and me,

The wonders of the natural world,

With love eternal, arms unfurled.
