Winter Magic

A Look At The Stars for January 9 thru January 13

Wednesday January 9
2:43 pm – Moon enters Pisces

Friday January 11
6:38 am – Sun conjunct Pluto at 20 ♑56 from Wednesday to Sunday greatly increases your personal power and ability to influence the outcomes in your life. However, your increased intensity and probing nature can lead power struggles. You may have to deal with underhand tactics such as controlling and manipulative behavior. Paranoia is possible under this influence but it is also possible that your enemies may be plotting against you. While such behavior on your part may lead to your undoing, you have the ability to uncover secrets and get to the bottom of any mysteries.

Saturday January 12
3:17 am – Moon enters Aries

Sunday January 13
8:30 am – Mercury conjunct Saturn at 12 ♑ 51 from Friday to Sunday brings critical thinking which needs to be applied to serious or challenging mental work. Without a productive outlook for your intellect, your mind may dwell on negatives and you would find it difficult to get out of such a rut. Such negative thinking can lead to depression and difficulties communication this weekly horoscope. Harsh or critical words can then lead to relationships problems such as coldness, isolation or rejection.
1:57 pm – Jupiter square Neptune brings a test of your faith due to an embarrassing loss of face or some disappointment. You may have been too trusting or over idealized a romantic interest. It is important to cut your losses as soon as the reality of the situation shatters your illusion. This is a really bad time for being overly optimistic. You may feel trusting and generous but the risk of delusion and deception is too great to risk your resources.

A Very, Very Good Wednesday Morning To All Our Brothers & Sisters of the Craft!

Winter . Fantasy girl

The Goddess is Alive

Moon shines down upon a sea of Light,
Shifting sands lay singing in the Heart of the Night.
I looked upon a scene that gripped me to the core,
White-clad maidens below were dancing on the shore.

Sweet sounds slipped from moon-lit throats,
Wind whipped hair abound,
Lit by the light within and without,
The Women circled ’round.

As I stood, water engulfed my feet,
My body swayed to your Heavenly Heart beat.
Wind and wave and fire light,
Paled in my mind Earthly delight.

Time slipped by me as you held your embrace,
And windblown spray covered my face.
Protected deep within your Womb,
I could feel the tender pain of Life’s bloom.

Candles flared high as the Dance progressed,
Deep inside with a healing touch you blessed.
All around, wind, wave and fire shouted of your life,
Your light speared deep within, soothing my strife.

Divine Mother, Goddess of Light,
To you I come seeking protection from the night.
Come home to shelter within your arm,
Surrounded by Love, hidden from harm.

Holy Mother, Queen of Heaven and Earth,
From you we all trace our Birth.
Heavenly Goddess, light from above,
Shine down upon us, we pray for your Love.

Y’all Ready for This….

Since our heads are still foggy, we’re going old school today.

Sorry, Southern Hemisphere, we are still in a fog, we can’t remember if y’all are a day ahead of us or a day behind us, just kidding, it’s a joke! Made a joke the first post and got a call from Lady B, (so I am clarifying my jokes today, lol)….but we will get the Southern Hemisphere Journal back in here tomorrow, I promise.

For now, Enjoy!

I hope y’all still remember us……

I was going to tell you about our experience with the flu, but forget it. I have never been so sick in my life and it is a nightmare I really don’t want to relive. I just hope and pray if you have it, you make a speedier recovery than we did. If you don’t have it, stay in, don’t go out in crowds, better yet bars the windows and locks the doors.

My daughter kept trying to get me to go to the Emergency Room and I told her I wasn’t going. This area is in wide-spread epidemic mode for the flu. I didn’t want to take the boys to the E.R., and them come down sick. Didn’t do any good they came down with it too. My daughter got mad and asked me, “where I wanted to be buried at?” She is a nurse practitioner and she has good intentions, just a mother who is hard-headed as a bull, lol! I would say the flu drama is over but I have talked to people who say they have had the flu and then had it again. If that happens, I am going for a long walk or I should say crawl off a short pier. I believe if I got the flu again, I would jump or just roll in. Even the poor dog came down with something.

Hopefully, we are all on the road to recovery now. Nobody has a fever in a few days and we are all suppose to be at work today. So we will see how that goes. The first one that comes in and sneezes, I am running her/him out the door with the broom. Seriously, if you ain’t had the flu yet, consider yourself extremely lucky and I hope and pray you don’t get it.

Well I am going to go and see if I can remember what we do each day and we will be back with you shortly. Till then…

Stay Healthy & Well,

Love ya,

Lady A

NIGHT SKY FOR JANUARY 2019

NIGHT SKY FOR JANUARY 2019

TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE JANUARY 20, 2019
By The Old Farmer’s Almanac

SKY WATCH JANUARY 2019

by Bob Berman, as featured in The 2019 Old Farmer’s Almanac

  • The year begins with a predawn string of pearls: Some 40 minutes before sunrise on January 1, the Moon, Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury hover from upper right to lower left, low in the eastern sky. Venus is now at its brightest of the year.
  • The alignment on the 2nd finds the Moon between Venus and Jupiter. On the 3rd, the Moon is to the left of Jupiter.
  • Through January, Venus sinks lower at first light but Jupiter is higher; their opposing motions cause them to meet from the 20th to the 26th. At nightfall all month, Mars in Pisces is due south at a bright magnitude 0.

GREAT AMERICAN TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE!

  • A total lunar eclipse on January 20, visible from the entire United States and Canada, begins at 10:34 p.m., with totality starting at 11:41 p.m. Unlike a solar eclipse, which follows a narrow path (and may not be visible to most people), a total eclipse of the Moon can often be observed from anywhere on Earth where it’s nighttime!
  • Lunar eclipses only happen during full Moons; this January 2019 total eclipse of the Moon will appear bigger and brighter than average making it a so-called Supermoon.
  • The Earth’s dark shadow will move over the bright disk of the Moon; our planet will block the Sun’s light while it is between the Sun and Moon, causing the Moon to turn an orangish-red hue. In popular culture, this has been nicknamed the “Blood Moon.”
  • So, I guess you’re going to hear it called a “Supermoon Blood Moon Total Lunar Eclipse”? Or, perhaps it will be nicknamed a “Super Blood Moon Eclipse”? No matter!  This will be the last total lunar eclipse until May 26, 2021 so take time to look up at this celestial phenomenon.
