A Ribbon Attraction Spell

You will need a pink ribbon, a mirror, some honey, pen, paper, and a candle.
Burn some sweet smelling incense…heather or violet is perfect for this. Pass the ribbon through the smoke three times saying:

“Ribbon be thou the bearer of love. Ribbon be thou the bearer of happiness.”

Now put a dab of honey on the ribbon and then on your tongue. As you taste the honey, say:

“Honey, bring me the sweetness of love.”

Repeat three times. Now hold up the mirror and look into it. See yourself reflected there. Now say this three times:

“I am Goddess and Goddess is me. She is beautiful. So Mote It Be.”

Now dab a bit of honey on the candle and wrap the ribbon around it. Hold it between your hands as you say (again three times)

“From ribbon to candle
The magic shall go
From candle to astral
The flame makes it so.”

Remove the ribbon and light the candle. Let the candle burn down. While it is burning you will be writing what you want in a partner on a piece of paper. Be specific…say “likes kittens but hates frogs” if that is what you want. Don’t specify any person. It will backfire badly.


When you have finished your list (and you can make mistakes and scratch out or start over), fold the list three times. Tie it up with the pink ribbon. Snuff out the candle if it is still burning. Put the list between your mattress and your box springs.


Each night for the next week you must look at yourself in the mirror and repeat the mirror charm.

“I am Goddess and Goddess is me. She is beautiful. So Mote It Be.”

At the end of the week, you can stop the mirror charm or continue it. That is your choice. Your spell will bring you love within 7 weeks.

Hang up a bell with a pleasant ring in a window which remains open for a good part of each day, and through which the wind blows (preferable the West wind).

As you do so, speak these words:

“Little bell of love,
I hang you to whisper my need for love on the breezes and winds.
Little bell of love,
Speak of my need for love to your brothers and sisters.
Little bell of love,
I ask you to speak softly and draw to me someone who listens.”

Every time the bell rings, it is “whispering” of your need for love.

  • Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you’ll get to enjoy it a second time.

  • A loving atmosphere in your home is so important. Do all you can to create a tranquil harmonious home.
  • In disagreements with loved ones, deal with the current situation. Don’t bring up the past.
  • Read between the lines.
  • Share your knowledge. It’s a way to achieve immortality.
  • Be gentle with the earth.
  • Pray. There’s immeasurable power in it.
  • Never interrupt when you are being flattered.
  • Mind your own business.
  • Don’t trust a man/woman who doesn’t close his/her eyes when you kiss.
  • Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.
  • If you make a lot of money, put it to use helping others while you are living. That is wealth’s greatest satisfaction.
  • Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a stroke of luck.
  • Learn the rules then break some.
  • Remember that the best relationship is one where your love for each other is greater than your need for each other.
  • Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.
  • Remember that your character is your destiny.

Explanation: On the night of August 12, this bright Perseid meteor flashed above volcanic Sunset Crater National Monument, Arizona, USA, planet Earth. Streaking along the summer Milky Way, its initial color is likely due to the shower meteor’s characteristically high speed. Entering at 60 kilometers per second, Perseid meteors are capable of exciting green emission from oxygen atoms while passing through the tenuous atmosphere at high altitudes. Also characteristic of bright meteors, this Perseid left a visibly glowing persistent train. Its evolution is seen over a three minute sequence (left to right) spanning the bottom of the frame. The camera ultimately captured a dramatic timelapse video of the twisting, drifting train.

Quasi-conjunction of Mercury and Jupiter

Tonight – August 19, 2016 – although it won’t be easy from Earth’s Northern Hemisphere, look for the quasi-conjunction of the planets Mercury and Jupiter. They’ll be at their closest for the month on August 19 or 20, depending on where you are on the globe. Southern Hemisphere viewers see them best, but, for all of us, binoculars will come in handy. The two will be close enough together on the sky’s dome to fit within a single binocular field. So if you see Jupiter, but not Mercury, try reeling Mercury in with binoculars.

No matter where you live worldwide, Mercury and Jupiter will appear in your western sky after sunset throughout August 2016. Moreover, the sky’s brightest planet – Venus – also lights up the western sky, within a stone’s throw of Mercury and Jupiter.

Look westward, starting 45 minutes (or less) after sunset. Mercury and Venus will set less than one hour after sunset at mid-northern latitudes. Jupiter will set around 75 minutes after the sun. Use binoculars to help you out with your planet search, for these bright worlds sit in the glare of evening twilight at northerly latitudes.

If you live in the Southern Hemisphere or the northern tropics, the view of the three planets – Mercury, Venus and Jupiter – improves by leaps and bounds. At more southerly latitudes, the planetary threesome stands higher up in the sky at sunset, and what’s more, these worlds stay out after dark. The Southern Hemisphere has the great big advantage over the Northern Hemisphere for viewing August’s planetary threesome.

Here’s the Southern Hemisphere view …

At the Earth’s equator (0o latitude), Venus sets about 75 minutes after the sun, Mercury sets around 95 minutes after sunset and Jupiter sets over 100 minutes after the sun. Farther south, in the Southern Hemisphere, these planets set even later after sundown. Click here to find out the setting times of the planets in your sky.

Technically speaking, a conjunction of two planets only takes place whenever two planets lie due north and south of another on the sky’s dome. Although Mercury and Jupiter don’t have a conjunction in August 2016, these two worlds do appear less than 5o apart for the next few evenings, showcasing a quasi-conjunction of the planets Mercury and Jupiter.

Bottom line: Find an unobstructed western horizon, and look for the August 19, 2016 quasi-conjunction of Mercury and Jupiter. They’re in the west after sunset. Best of luck!
