When the element of Fire is in balance in your body, mind, and spirit, it manifests as the Fire of healthy sexuality, creativity, energy, and a sense of the sacred–a life-giving force that charges us up and makes life feel worth living. But when we lack Fire, we can feel tired and inert, depressed and sluggish. And too much Fire can be damaging.

Take this true/false quiz to see if your Fire element is in balance or not. If you are out of balance, we offer many creative ways to bring yourself back into right relationship with Fire.

Section One

Score one point for each True answer.

1. There is violence in my home.

2. I smoke cigarettes.

3. I am often impatient.

4. Relationships and problems tend to erupt in my home.

5. I am hot-tempered.

6. I am often engaged in a crazy whirl of activity until I collapse from sheer exhaustion.

7. I have heart disease, or diseases of the circulatory system.

If you have any points at all, you may have too much unhealthy Fire. Cooling, calming colors, scents, and activities would be beneficial: you may want to try yoga, meditation, or anger-management therapies to help you get your Fire under control. And take a look at the following statements: each True answer will help you deduct one of your unhealthy Fire points.

If you have any negative points at all, you may be lacking in healthy Fire. Try wearing warm, fiery colors to wake your fire element up!
