I deeply admire and appreciate all of our servicemen and women. The service people not only serve but their families do also. I admire our service people because our country has never called upon them that they did not answer the call. No matter what it was or where it was, they went without question. Their families waited anxiously at home for news of their loved ones. Some came back and some didn’t. I know the first flag covered casket I saw, broke my heart. But then you would see the others that fought their bravest for us, come home. The joyful reunions that brings a tear to my eye. I love to see some father surprise his child at school. You can just feel the joy and love from them. I always hope now that they are home, they won’t have to experience anymore bloodshed or grief.
I am beginning to wonder if these men and women will ever have or know peace again. When they come home to their bases, everything is suppose to be safe. They don’t worry about getting shot or killed. Why should they? They are suppose to be safe. Unfortunately, the incident at Fort Hood proved this not to be so. I don’t have the words to describe how I feel right now. I can’t begin to imagine how those poor families feel, just getting their loved ones home and then have them shot. What horror they must be experiencing.
The servicemen/women and their families need all the support they can get right now. I wrote a little prayer for them. If you have a moment today or tomorrow, say a prayer & light a candle for them. It doesn’t have to be my prayer, write your own. Just remember them in your prayers. Remember what they have given to us and in doing so they paid the ultimate price.
God & Goddess Bless All of Our Service People!
Prayer For The Victims At Fort Hood Oh, Great & Mighty Goddess, We pray for all the victims of the Fort Hood shooting. Hold all the victims safe in your arms till they are ready to be reborn. Hold all those left behind in your arms, comforting them and consoling them. Let them not forget that one day they will all be reunited and what a joyful day that will be. As our dearly departed love ones leave this plane, let us never forget who they were or what they meant to. Keep them always in your heart Great Goddess, we humbly pray that all effected by this horror be watched over and given your comfort. Cloak them in your arms and your love. So Mote It Be.
