The short answer is yes…
The long answer is: No, not really, depending on which “brand” of Christianity you subscribe to.
Before I really begin let me clarify two things; 1. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to practice witchcraft. The craft itself has developed differently for thousands of years all over the globe, and while many different kinds of “witchcraft” do contain similarities, there are also so many differences depending on the practitioner and practice. 2. No one can really tell you “how” to practice, and that is not my intention with the piece, I merely want to explore the relationship between these two concepts in hopes of shedding some light on this very controversial topic. (After all, I’m a sun witch. Shedding light is what I do!)
The other disclaimer I would like to give is that there is honestly so much to this topic. This article is likely to barely scratch the surface, which is one of the reasons I have put off writing about it. The other reason is that I am honestly afraid of being targeted and attacked by Christians & the Christian-Witch community… because they don’t exactly have a good track record of being understanding, or civil.
So if I am burned at the stake for writing this, we’ll know for sure that nothing’s changed in the last few hundred years…
