Today’s Affirmation for April 13th

I pray for Spirit to revive my heart, to spark it with a relish for service. I hope that my desire to be a flame of love will spark other stalled souls to come alive, a flame with love themselves.

Today’s Thought for April 13th

“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burden of it for anyone else.”

Charles Dickens (1812 – 70)

Today’s Meditation for April 13th

Trace The Web

Although we may think of ourselves as independent beings, we are inextricably linked to one another and to our environment in a complex web of interactions. Imagine yourself poised in the middle of a web. Each thread represents a connection that anchors you to the life around you. Look along each thread in turn and appreciate the many ways in which you are connected to the world – through relationships, commitments, and so on. You inhabit and accept the network. You rejoice in your connection and especially their uniqueness.

Precious Pup of the Day for March 10th

Lucie, the Dog of the Day
Name: Lucie
Age: Two years old
Gender: Female Breed: Shiba Inu, Jack Russell mix
Home: Smithtown, New York, USA
Lucie is a very energetic and lovable dog, although she thinks of herself as more of a human. She frequently sits on the couch like us and will try to get into chairs., too. She wants to be part of everything we do, as you could probably guess! She was rescued from a puppy mill in Tennessee in April 2009. She was named after the character, Lucie, from the novel, A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. When some people see her they think she’s still a puppy, but she is full grown – as much as she’ll ever get – at two years old. She is extremely protective of her family, even though if someone ever was to break in, she would run away and hide. Her biggest fear is the fire alarm beeping when steam gets too near it. Lucie is the cutest and most playful dog I have ever known.
