Words of wisdom from one of my German great-grandma’s kitchen:
“We get to soon old and too late smart”
When I would read this off a trivet in her kitchen at 5 years old I didn’t understand what it meant but as I tell people now I don’t get a year older with each passing birthday I get a year wiser the trivet now makes sense to me. It brings to mind something I told everyone of my 5 children when they were in their “know-it-all” teen phase I hope you know as much as you think you do now when you get to be grandma’s age (meaning my mom). SO try to learn something new daily if possible about a topic you no nothing about it will help keep your mind young and fill you with somewhat useful knowledge.
I was absent last week due to time constraints and my health. I am feeling good again and will be posting most of the regular daily posts until my next fibromyalgia flare. Today’s posts will be up when we get home from Big Dawg’s job this afternoon.
