Many years ago , I used to have terrible sick migraine which would last for a days, feeling as if I had my head smashed in on the right hand side, until I realised what triggered it, although sometimes the stress of trying to be too perfectionist while working could set me off as well. I never could drink like other people did, without vomiting, which should have shown me It wasnt good for me but I didnt connect these things together, why should I, my father made great country wines and beers as well as knowing about herbal uses. After a failed relationship, friends told me to take a drink to forget about her. Worst advice, and friends ever, for me. Useless! So I started to refuse alcohol altogether, and havent looked back. Now I can detect it in medicines and other food that others dont even realise its in. I had to learn in those days, the hard way, that trying to be like others, because of accepted behaviour is the wrong road to go down. I hope that you too, can find what triggers your migraine, maybe it could be from something in your diet or from the continued stress of trying hard to make a living, or taking on others peoples worrys onto yourself, and maybe now, you will find much more peace and relaxation in your everyday life from now on. Blessings!
My main migraine trigger is caffeine. Another is stress. I can go from a bad tension headache to a migraine if I don’t relax before I start working which is what happened yesterday. I’ve got more migraines during fibromyalgia flares also and was in a very bad flare yesterday. If I use a mixture of white williow bark and passionflower steep into a tea when the migraine is just starting it usually helps. I only drink an occasional glass of wine as I drank heavily in my younger days and have chosen not to do that anymore about 15 years ago. I thank you for your story and suggestions!
