SIDE NOTE: This a 4 part series with half posted on WOTC and the other half on Coven Life on alternating days. The posts that will be on Coven life will be re-bogged to here and vise versa. It would be a huge boost to Coven Life if you would click on the box that says, “Follow the Coven”. Hopefully, by the end of the year, CL will be receiving a small income from allowing WordPress to put up advertising from whoever on the website. To re-blogged the post from Witches of The Craft click on “Follow” this will help boost WOTC’s small income from allowing WordPress to put advertising for whoever on the website. Thank you very much in advance for your support of WitchesofTheCraft.com and CovenLife.co. My goal is to do one fundraiser per year to help people who cannot afford their entire Coven Life’s School of Witchcraft course fee. More on that at a later date.
Saturn often gets a bad rap as the “Lord of Karma” or “The Great Malefic. Saturn is only a problem if you’ve been trying to cut corners and shirk your responsibility. It’s a great disciplinarian, which is why some people dread its aspects, but let me ask you this: What loving father doesn’t discipline their child?
Saturn retrogrades and Saturn returns can be a bit tricky, especially when one overlaps the other. Saturn’s orbit is twenty-nine years, so your Saturn returns comes around at twenty-nine, fifty-eight, and, if you’re lucky eighty-seven. If one of those is your age in 2020, then this retrograde applies to you particularly to you! It starts entering it shadow at 25 degrees Capricorn but doesn’t station retrograde until May, at nearly 2 degrees Aquarius. The “old man” stations direct at the end of September but won’t actually leave the retrograde zone until 2021.
The most important days of this retrograde are when it hits anoretic degree of 29 degrees Capricorn the second week in March of this year and the first half of July. Those are likely to be the most rocky days, the day when things just feel out of sorts or don’t seem to be happening. This is particularly important because of Saturn and Pluto are going to be conjunct in Capricorn on and off for most of the year, frequently bumped by Jupiter, and joined by Mars in February and March. Saturn’s pretty happy at home here in Capricorn, but Jupiter doesn’t like the restrictive energy at all. At least Mars likes the sign of the “old goat”!
I’ve waffled on about Saturn a bit because this is an important transit, particularly if it dings one of your natal power points or planets. You may feel limited, particularly when it comes to shouldering to much responsibilities or feeling that others depend on you too much. Take extras time these days and don’t lose your cool with Mars’s energy or Jupiter’s frustrations. Look at the areas of your life that you want to work on and bring into balance, for Saturn’s retrograde will give you a chance to do just that. It’s all about responsibility. Hard work, yes, but it comes with such a high reward!
If you want to know why your life has suddenly started to feel like it is full of unexpected changes, look to see what Uranus is doing! When you’re affected by Uranus’s retrograde in Taurus tends to be a bit uncomfortable, for they don’t have much in common. Uranus is impulsive and rebellious, but Taurus is methodical and seeks security. Uranus is going to be in Taurus until 2026, so there’s time to learn to work with, rather than against, the retrogrades as they occur.*
