One Way to Get Back in Sync with Your Body, Spirit and Faith

Originally posted in 2016.

As many of my regular readers know the last few weeks have been very hard for me because of the first anniversary of my mom’s crossing into the Summerlands. I allowed myself to get completely ungrounded, uncentered, as well as not doing my morning or evening prayers (yes many witches/pagans do pray). I was so far out of balance that even with being pagan and a witch for 39 years I could not unblock my own chakras, find my center or completely ground myself as my mind was in a deep depression and my heart still felt broken over losing my mom. Losing her also brought the pain back from losing my dad in 1970.

How did I get through this time? By asking the Elders of our coven to help me. I feel you never learning everything you might need to know in The Craft and it does not hurt to ask those more learned in aspects of it that you know little or nothing about. I also feel when you have tried different ways to help yourself and nothing has helped, no matter what the problem is you are dealing with, ask for help.

One Exercise for Ridding Chakras of Negativity:

Go outdoors. Step barefoot into the grass, dirt, sand, rocks or whatever type of ground is convenient for you to do this exercise on. Plant your feet firmly about shoulder width apart on Mother Earth. (I prefer to be facing directly into the Sun as Ra is my patron God.)

Lift your arms over your head with palms facing upward towards the sky.

Ask the Universe to send positive energy through your hands to push the negative energy out through your feet into Mother Earth. To be cleansed by her and released to where she wants it to go.

The mantra that was suggested by High Priestess Streggga was “I will allow myself to heal and be healed.” You can recite whatever you think will help your specific situation. If you are not what the words for your mantra should be…ask High Priestess Lady Beltane Sage or Lady Silver Sage for help. Do not think it will be a bother to us that is what we are here for.

There is no time limit on how long or how often you should do this exercise.

This will cleanse your chakras, help to balance and ground you. For centering you should do a mediation that has you look into yourself to see what is making you out of balance. During your meditation is also a great time to ask your spirit guides and ancestors to help you through whatever it is that has you out of whack.

The Rainbow Chant/Song for An Easy Way to Cleanse Children’s Chakras

When my 18-year-old granddaughter was a toddler she liked me to sing her to sleep. She also sneezed if I used White Sage to cleanse her Chakras, so we made up a song/chant to do them as she was going to sleep. We call it the Rainbow Song.

Have the child lay on their stomach, sing/chant each color, the flowing of one chakra to the next and the joining of the child’s chakras to the sky/universe and Mother Earth three times each. Ask the child at each chakra what they think is making it dirty. Incorporate that with getting the dark color of each chakra out. Use your power hand over each chakra to cleanse it.

Then starting with the red root chakra sing/chant, “Dark dirty red out, bright good red in.” (Base of the spine) You can ask the child to pick something that is a shiny red, such as a firetruck, to see in their mind to help bring the clean energy in.

The next chakra is the orange sacral chakra sing/chant, ” Dark dirty orange out, bright good orange in.” (Half way between root chakra and belly button) Ask the child to picture something bright orange, such as a pumpkin, to help bring the clean energy in.

The next chakra is the yellow solar plexus chakra sing/chant,  “Dark dirty yellow out, bright good yellow in.” (Locate over the diaphragm) Ask the child to picture something bright yellow, such as the Sun, to help bring the clean energy in.

Next we have the green heart chakra sing/chant, “Dark dirty green out, bright good green in. (Locate over the heart) Ask the child to think of something bright green like grass or leaves on a sunny day.

Next is the blue throat chakra sing/chant, “Dark dirty blue out, bright good blue in.” (Locate at the throat.) Ask the child to think of something bright blue like a lake or a bright blue sky.

The next chakra is the indigo third eye chakra sing/chant, “Dark dirty indigo out, bright good indigo in.” (Located in the middle of the forehead.) Ask the child to think of something that is very dark blue such as a flower.

Last is the violet or white crown chakra sing/chant, “Drak violet or white out, bright good violet or white in. (Located on the crown of the head.) Have the child think of a bright purple crayon or a white one.

Now starting at the root chakra and going up to the crown chakra sing/chant,” Red joins orange, orange joins yellow, yellow joins green, green joins blue, blue joins indigo, indigo joins violet or white. When doing this part use your power hand and run it up the child’s spine up to the crown of the head in one motion. Do not lift your hand off of child!

Have the child reach their arms above their head as far as they can comfortably reach before you start joining the chakras. Each time you get to the crown chakra sing/chant “The rainbow comes out of the fingers to join the universe!”

Lastly, go down the chakras from crown to root joining them in reverse order of what you did for the Universal joining. Each time you reach the root chakra sing/chant, “The rainbow comes out of the feet to join to Mother Earth!”

By joining the child to the Universe and Mother Earth, you give them a complete connection to everything around them.

Daily Chakra Healing (Part 7) Saturday – Third Eye

Today’s focus is intuition verses fantasy: what is true verses what we want to be true. Intuition can be firm and, at times, quite loud, but it’s never panicked or rushed, even when change is long past due. Fantasy, however sweeps in with grand visions that have an urgency borne from the belief that this idea is the ticket. — the diet, the career change, the whatever that will finally create desired change.Fantasy is often package with fear of missing out if we don’t jump on its advice, so today, get curious about your inner dialogue and feelings. If you’re moved to pursue a course of action, what feelings and thoughts arise if you consider not doing it? When we ignore our intuition, we might feel a heaviness or dullness, as if some of the life has been drained from us, whereas thwarting our fantasies can trigger anxiety and the pressure to charge forward, no matter the cost.

Daily Chakra Healing (Part 5) Thursday – Heart

Thursday: Heart

Today’s focus is abundance not hording. The heart is the great connector between the chakras as the midpoint of those seven energy centers between us and all of life. When chakras are healthy, the heart has the support of the entire system, enjoying, for example the safety of the root and the vulnerability of the navel, which allow the heart to remain open and connected. This connection helps us perceive opportunities and support, and this generates trust that we will have enough without hording. Today, get curious about areas of anxiety and worry, areas where you feel you have to hold on to or prevent change for fear of loss. Can you sit with your uncomfortable feelings while simultaneously tapping into self-love? Shower yourself with green or pink light and bathe your worries in love. Does the addition of heart energy give you a glimpse of previously hidden options or ideas, and if so, can you take the next sense towards them?

Daily Chakra Healing (Part 3) Tuesday – Navel

TUESDAY : NAVEL

Today’s focus is vulnerability versus naivete’. Vulnerability is often viewed as a weakness, but in truth it’s a superpower founded in trusting that our authentic expression is valuable and necessary. Vulnerability asks us to reveal who we really are, not a pared-down personality’s that act of giving ourselves permission to be ourselves. When we try to be what we are not, we lose touch with those gut feelings that steer us away from needlessly harmful situations. The naval helps discern between exposing the true self to enable authentic expression and intimacy versus sticking our head in the sand and exposing ourselves to danger. Get curious about areas where you’re pressuring yourself to adopt a persona, people please, or otherwise keep your true nature under wraps as well as areas where you might be overriding alarm bells — are there connections between the 2?

Daily Chakra Healing (Part 1) Introduction

The seven major chakras are vital pieces of your energetic puzzle, and what better way to boost their health than by devoting and entire day of the week to each one? Start each day with the following mediation, plugging in details from the individual chakra sections below [Each Chakra will have its own post].

Sit in a comfortable position and bring awareness to the area of the chakra, noticing any sensations. Does it feel open, heavy, jumpy? IS it east or difficult to connect with this area?Imagine the color of the chakra filling this area, and say three times, “I heal and balance my (name of chakra).” Ponder the qualities for the day, and take a few minutes contemplating how they appear in your life. Be open to thoughts, feelings, image, and other clues, and when you’re done, briefly journal your insights. Continue checking in through out the day.

The colors, crystals, and foods listed here serve as reminders of the focus chakra as well as spiritual allies in their own right. For example your red bracelet might remind you of your root quality of safety during a work meeting, which differs from your root chakra experience during yoga, and comparing the two leads to an aha moment. As allies, rose quartz could trigger heart chakra insights, while a sniff of rosemary might bring to mind and important memory in relation to your solar plexus. Keep in mind that this is less about isolating definitive answers and more about letting one question lead you to the next, like spiritual breadcrumbs that take you deeper into self-awareness.

For Your Listening Pleasure

Today, I am putting up a Celtic, Native American, and Classical instrumentals that I have found good for relaxing myself and/or upset grandchildren when they were newborn and I knew they were fed, had a dry bottom, appropriate clothing for the temperature in the house. In other words they were just out of sorts for a reason they could not yet communicate to me. Some of the older ones ages 15 to 24 still listen to them when they have had a bad day and want to escape the worldly chaos. I also use these and others to block out all other sounds around me when I want to meditate or astral travel.

August 20th S. H. Current Moon Phase

TUESDAY, AUGUST 20, 2019

Tommorow the Moon will be in a Waning Gibbous Phase. This is the first phase after the Full Moon occurs. It lasts roughly 7 days with the Moon’s illumination growing smaller each day until the Moon becomes a Last Quarter Moon with a illumination of 50%. The average Moon rise for this phase is between 9am and Midnight depending on the age of the phase. The moon rises later and later each night setting after sunrise in the morning. During this phase the Moon can also be seen in the early morning daylight hours on the western horizon

You can use this link to go forward or backward in time for Moon phase information. If you are curious you can even find out what phase the Moon was in when you or anyone else you know was on the date the person was born.

Chakras and Auras – How they Work Together

Did you ever wonder what the differences are between chakras and auras?  Or how they work together?  Did you ever think it might be useful to know?  (Hint:  It is)

Understanding these energy centers is one way to enhance your spiritual unfoldment, psychic development, and gain more insight into this wild ride we call life.

An Overview of Chakras and Auras

Your Chakras

Chakras are multi-colored, beautiful spinning wheels in our energy fields.  I like to envision them as the spinning pinwheels I had when I was a kid.

We have seven main chakra points.  (Some people believe we have many, many more, including hundreds of “mini-chakras”.)  Here are the main ones:
