Strength – Major Arcana

Under the soft golden sky, a woman pats the lion’s head and tickles its mandible. She stares at the lion with a smile on her face and she seems to have successfully tamed the beast. The fact that the Strength Tarot card is the image of a woman, and it implies that the card does not focus on pure physical strength. This character has an infinity symbol on her head – the same symbol in the Magician Tarot card. Her white gown carries the innocence of the Fool and symbolizes her spiritual purity. The blue mountain at the back is a symbol representing masculinity as same as the Lovers.

Lion is a symbol of passion and desire for the flesh, the “animal” part in each of us. On the card, the lion is sticking out his tongue. It is considered that the beasts that are going to attack will not stick out their tongues, and so the image shows that the lion is happy to give in to the woman. The woman who domesticated the lion with a hidden power that can only come from the inside. Her left arm represents mental strength while the right arm represents physical strength. As we can see, her right arm is just holding while the left arm bears the heavyweight. She wears a belt and a crown of flowers, disinterestedly standing in a green field. The crown on her head symbolizes the most beautiful things, the most perfect of nature and this short life.

The zodiac connected with the Strength Tarot card is Leo.

The Lovers – Major Arcana

The horoscope associated with the Lovers Tarot card is Gemini. Two characters on this card are protected and blessed by the angels in the clouds above their heads. Images of angels, in general, represent the essence of worldly desires.

In particular, the angel Raphael appears in this card is the angel of the Air element. One of the characteristics of the Air element is the communication process, which is an essential requirement for a good relationship. The angel’s purple cloak represents loyalty, a symbol of the importance of communication.

In the Lovers Tarot card, the sun shines brilliantly above the couple, radiating warmth and sense of security everywhere. At their feet, there is the green and fertile land which evoke life and happiness. On the tree, there are five apples behind the woman represent the five senses, symbolizing the importance of romantic love and pleasure for the woman. The snake bending on the tree behind the woman evokes the story of Adam and Eve, the fall of the human race and the temptations of life. In addition, the snake is also a symbol of the senses.

The flame behind the man represents the flame of passion, symbolizing the basic concern of the man. There are twelve flames, representing the twelve horoscopes, the symbol of time and eternity. On the card, the man is looking at the woman while the woman looks up at the angel, implying the path from perception to the subconscious and ultimately to metacognition, or from material needs to emotional needs and the emotional concerns. The mountain symbolizes masculinity, while water symbolizes femininity, the images conjure up harmony between 2 genders.

The World – Major Arcana

Right in the center of the World Tarot card is the image of the character dancing and expressing joy after completing the journey. She expresses how happy she is because of not only the journey that was over but also new promising beginnings. She crosses her legs which is no different from the Hanged Man. This image somewhat resembles a contrast of the Hanged Man character when it in the upright position. While the Hanged Man looks at the infinite space of the inner side, the person dancing in the World is attentive to the outside world.

She holds a wand or a stick just like a baton on each hand, symbolizing evolution and balance. Covering up this character is the image of the laurel wreath which is the symbols of success, victory, achievement, and reward. Each end of the laurel wreath is tied with red ribbon, showing its permanence. The red ribbon creates the symbol of eternity, symbolizing the endless reward for the best efforts of the character as a result of completing herself and those around her. In the laurels, bright stars appear to represent the culmination of enlightenment or the state of consciousness on the universal level.

Those icons at the four corners of the World have also appeared in the Wheel of Fortune card. Interestingly, this card is closely associated with the Wheel of Fortune, which represents the evolutionary cycle of time and the experience of human life. The four icons (a lion, a cow, a little angel, and an eagle) represent the four permanent zodiac signs – Lion, Taurus, Aquarius, and Scorpio. They are also symbolic images of four elements, four suits of the Tarot, four compass directions, four seasons and four corners of the universe. All of them are within the vision and power of the character who is dancing. The planet associated with the World Tarot card is Saturn – the ruler of the planet and a symbol of time.

Wheel of Fortune – Major Arcana

The Wheel of Fortune is a very iconic Tarot card. The angel in the left corner is Aquarius, the eagle is Scorpio, the lion is Leo and the ox is Taurus. These are four fixed signs of the Zodiac, but they all have wings – a sense of stability between movement and change. The book that the animals hold in their hands is the Pentateuch, representing wisdom.

Above the wheel is the image of the Jewish characters YHVH (Yod, Hey, Vav, Hey), which is the name of God. Alternating between these characters is TORA (counter-clockwise) or TARO (read clockwise) which can be converted to TAROT when you connect with the first character.

The snake at the bottom on the left of the wheel is the Egyptian God – the Typhon who is the God of evil. The snake also represents the power of life in this material world. Anubis dominates the right side of the wheel is Hermes, a symbol of intelligence, wisdom, or hidden things within ourselves. The Sphinx on the top of the wheel represents the complexities that are difficult to explain to exist in our lives.

In the middle of the wheel, it contains alchemical elements including mercury, sulfur, water and salt – building foundations of life and four elements – representing the power of formation. The outer circle represents the physical world. The eight spokes in the Wheel of Fortune represent the radiating energy of the Universe, just like the eight Pagan Holidays or Wheel of the Year. Blue background represents wisdom. The planet linked to this card is Jupiter – the planet of opportunity, growth, success, and expansion. The number 10 is greater than the number 1 and gives power to the number 1.

Scythe

The reaping, death, waning, end of an era, releasing and clearing

The scythe may seem scary to some, like the Death card in a tarot reading. BUT the scythe also means an end to something that needs to be released. It could mean clearing and letting go.

Nuin

Communication, transit, distribution, messaging, swiftness, sense of humor

Tree: Ash (Fraxinus spp.)

Letter: N

Social intelligence is a highly underrated skill. The thousands of factors that go into communicating effectively with others (human or otherwise) takes a level of intelligence that is too subtle and complex to be measured… social intelligence is an art. Nuin is a Few that speaks to speed and dexterity in communication, usually in putting a message out there to the community. Nuin means you are linked in to a community and are open to both receiving and transmitting messages. If you are working on your communication skills and reaching people (which we should all be doing) then Nuin indicates it is working.

Nuin has ties to the Norse god Odin (Germanic Wotan) who has ties to the Roman god Mercury. Mercury is the messenger, god of commercial enterprises, communication, and thieves. You can see why ancient Mercury might have a liking for the modern internet. Odin purposefully blinded himself in one eye as a price for accessing Knowledge. This myth is not meant to be taken literally, of course. Some deep thought would suggest that Odin forced himself to brutally limit himself to half the information (becoming Odin One-Eye) in order to gain all the knowledge. The lesson in the Odin myth is that great knowledge comes at a price: you have to ruthlessly limit the noise to receive the signal.

Questions when you draw Nuin:

-Think of three casual acquaintances who you have liked instantly. What made them approachable?
-Think of three casual acquaintances who wanted to know you better but who you did not respond to because they were immediately off-putting. Why did they fail?
-How can you limit the noise of what information comes into your head on a daily basis in order to receive more signal — that which helps you rather than harms?
-What would happen if you eliminated half the media in your life? What would this entail?

Ill-dignified excess: Too much information
Too much information equals distraction. Allowing too much news, internet chatter, television, movies, gossip, and random information into your mind is often a recipe for overload and misery. Limit your diet of electronic babble and make sure to temper exposure to our toxic modern culture with time spent with growing things, rivers, forests, and meadows. Instagram, social media, television, advertising, and petty politics cast a form of black magic upon the beholder, hypnotizing us into feelings of inadequacy so we will buy more products. Nuin ill-dignified in excess could also indicate you are watering down your message by giving too much away about yourself. Don’t write a novel or orate a speech when a well-considered paragraph or epithet will do.

Ill-dignified dearth: Failure or unwillingness to communicate
Presuming people know your mind is problematic, but presuming they both know your mind and agree with you is ten times worse. Has anyone ever tried to reach you via any method possible, including spam advertisements, cold calls, or stalking? Don’t be that spammer/caller/stalker guy. This could also indicate you or someone else is not using resources at hand to communicate or is not putting the care into communication that it deserves. Don’t be the boob who can’t be bothered with the formalities of hello, goodbye, please, thank you, unabbreviated words, and spell check. Whether not being able to communicate with others is born out of misanthropy or earnest bumbling, the result is the same: you still send a clear message about your shortcomings. Nuin is suggesting you or someone affecting your life should learn the challenging skill of how to communicate with others.
