Anything in [….] is a note for what Lady Beltane gets from the cards that was drawn today.

Today’s General Tarot Card

Nine of Cups – Wishes granted.

A majestic Water dragon rises out of a lake with an ornate chalice full of jewels in its claws. A Woman stands with outstretched hands to take the chalice. She has realized she has the right to ask for help in attaining her goals, symbolized by the eight rich-looking chalices that sit around her feet on the shore. Abundance is unlimited, whether the abundance is spiritual growth, emotional contentment, physical health, or material possessions. The wave on the water symbolize the constant movement within the realm of universal possibilities.

Divinatory Meaning: Your wish will be granted. Success, accomplishment, and satisfaction will soon enter your life. [I see in this card the potential for obtaining a raise, spiritual growth and finding new information out about your inner self.]

Today’s Love Tarot Card

Six of Wands – Success after hard work.

A woman with a small dragon on her shoulder stands with a crown on her head. A five-point star is centered on her forehead, directly over the spiritual third eye. This symbolized the woman’s connection with spiritual guidance and her access to ancient knowledge. Before her is a table covered with rolled scrolls, quill pens, and other magickal equipment. Prominently to the front is a brass vase holding six crystal-topped wands. Other small dragons fly and sit about the room. The star (pentacle of protection and symbol of the Goddess) and the crown (spiritual enlightenment) revel that this magician is on a higher path of life. She has gathered her willpower (the wands) and placed them in a position to bring about fertility and manifestation (the vase). This fertile energy is repeated in the Celtic scrollwork craved into the table, the magician’s center for working her will.

Divinatory Meaning: You are rewarded with success after a hard days work. A message of good news brightens your day. There could be an advancement in career. Supportive friends give you courage to follow your dreams. [I see in this card the longing you have had for a person from your past to be known again in the present. Following your dreams of a match made just for you with a new lover or a current lover taking you someplace special]

Today’s Wealth Tarot Card

Queen of Pentacles – a court card- Future plans.

The Queen of pentacles is represented by an older woman dressed in earth tone robes. Her dragon-throne is carved of stone. She has earned the right to sit on the mighty throne through her diligent study and compassions for all creatures on the Earth. On the back of the throne, just above her head, is carved large dragon, symbolic of her constant contact with the astral and spiritual realms. Just above her head is a shinning pentacle of power and protection. In one hand she holds a wand with a golden star at its tip. A mistress of psychic, the woman knows how to manifest her desires, yet she does this with great control and consideration. The other rest on the head of a dragon lying beside the throne, her astral companion. The red of her cloak symbolizes the blood of life, while the brown of her gown reveals her connection with Earth and the powers of nature. Her white undergown reveals the closeness she has established with spiritual realms. By her side is a small ornate table holding a candle and a crystal ball, while books are scattered at her feet. Through knowledge and study (the books), this woman has learned to see clearly (candle) into the past and future (crystal ball).

Divinatory Meaning: This card indicates a feminine influence who is good with finances, but critical and demanding. An opportunity will come to reap good benefits after a long time of labor. This is an auspicious time for making future plans. [A good time to start your own business or become parterns within the business you are already working at]

Today’s Health Tarot Card

King of Cups – a court cart – Emotional events.

A regal, older man stands before a throne made out of shell. He wears a crown with pearls on the spiky tips. In one hand he holds a chalice trimmed with scallop shells. His other hand lies on the head of a Water dragon that lies wrapped around the throne. The throne stands on a beach strewn with shells, starfish, and driftwood. The King of Cups has moved to a state of being where he is no longer ruled by the tides of emotions. He has earned his throne, which represents security and stability in the midst of emotions (the water of the sea). His crown with its pearls symbolizes spiritual enlightenment found in the sacred center of every human, the discovery which enable him to escape the emotional extremes of life. The shells (continuing from one life cycle to another) and the starfish (pentacle of protection) have come from the sea, which is the cauldron of creation and rebirth. Through the King’s companionship with the Water dragon he has learned how to use emotional energy in a more positive way. [I see in this card people’s health improving to the point of being able to do things they have not done for a long time. I also see if a couple is trying to have a baby now is an excellent time for the woman to become pregnant.]

Today’s Witches’ Rune

This rune means to cut away, to put an end to something, to sever or separate, possible something you have depended on vanishes from your life. You can now move to the next level and begin anew

When the Scythe Rune turns up in a reading this indicates certain changes must occur and time must pass before a coming to terms with something that is hard to accept.

You may experience a passing through of difficulties before reaching a new level.

Walls and blocks may see insurmountable at the current time. But the Scythe implies you have the strength and fortitude to overcome all difficulties that you now encounter.

Today’s Ogham Stave

S is for Saille, pronounced sahl-yeh, and is associated with the Willow tree. The Willow is often found near water, and when nourished it will grow rapidly. This symbol is representative of knowledge and spiritual growth, as well as being connected with the month of April. Willows offer protection and healing, and is closely connected to the cycles of the moon. Likewise, this symbol is tied to women’s mysteries and cycles.

In folk medicine, Willow has long been connected with healing. A tea of willow bark was used to treat fevers, rheumatism, coughs, and other inflammatory conditions. Nineteenth century scientists discovered that the Willow contains salicylic acid, a synthetic version of which is the primary pain-relief ingredient in Aspirin. In addition to its use as a healing herb, Willow was also harvested for wicker work. Baskets, small curricles, and even bee hives were constructed with this bendable, flexible wood.

Saille Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: One cannot evolve without changing. Realize that part of life’s journey includes learning lessons–even unpleasant ones. This is a natural part of the human experience.

Magical Aspects: Give yourself a break periodically, and take time to rest spiritually. Know that change will come when you are ready for it. Allow yourself some flexibility in your spiritual life as well.

“Music is essential to your healing and well-being, whether sing, playing an instrument, or listening”

In order to diagnose their patients, one of the questions, that shamans often asked was when the patient stopped singing. If it had been quite some time, the shaman was certain to recommend sing (among other remedies) as an essential aspect of recovery. All that’s involved when you sing — the fullness and rhythm of your breathing, the opening of your mouth and jaw, and the soulful and creative expressions of your spirit — serves to enhance your health and raise your vibrations.

Similarly, playing an instrument can touch those inner creative depths that yearn to be expressed through song. Simply Listening with your full attention to you favorite tune or melody can also inspire and heal. Make music as essential to your lifestyle as eating and breathing.

You can breach the inhibitions about expressing yourself musically that you’ve acquired over the years in some very simple and easy ways: Sing, chant, or play an instrument! Take a few voice lessons as a means to shore up your confidence. Let the magical child inside help you rediscover the joy of creating music. Dive in and play!

Today’s Numerology Number

In Numerology, both novices and professionals alike tend to focus on the “money and power” image of the 8. Often when a client requests a name change consultation, it’s because they want to add 8s to their chart with the mistaken belief it will bring them money and power

It is true that the 8, more than any other number, emphasizes the areas of career, business, finances, and authority.

As with other single-digit numbers, the shape reflects its most important attribute; in the case of the 8 it signifies balance. The 8 is the great Karmic Equalizer, a force that creates just as efficiently as it destroys. When the 8 comes knocking, you can be assured you will reap what you’ve sown.

The 8 creates a balance between the material and spiritual worlds.

At its best, it is as spiritual as it is materialistic. The sacred side of the 8 is practical, rational, and intelligent. It knows the difference between make-believe and genuine realization.

On the material plane, it is focused on results – often in the form of money – yet it doesn’t care about acquiring wealth merely for the sake of being wealthy. It is not greedy; it sees money as a tool not an end-result. It is generous and willing to take risks.

People with strong 8s in their charts often make and lose fortunes more than once during their life.

The 8 doesn’t consider bankruptcy a reason to slow down or feel sorry for themselves – and they usually come out stronger and more success-oriented than before.

Some of the more recognizable traits of the 8 are drive, ambition, authority, efficiency, organization, management, discipline, and control. Individuals with the 8 in their core numbers are goal-oriented, focused, have good judgment, are discriminate, and practical. In short, the 8 is a realist.

Its closest relative is the 1, as both numbers are powerful, have strong leadership skills, and will not shy away from confrontation. While the 1 lacks diplomatic skills and an understanding of human nature (typical traits of the 2), the 8 does exhibit those abilities. This is perhaps the principal reason why the 8 tends to do well in business and authority roles – the military and law enforcement also attract many 8s.

When the 8 appears in your personality profile chart, it indicates the presence of the character traits mentioned earlier as well as the potential to be successful and prosperous. Hence, the reason so many people hope to manipulate their charts by adding one or more 8s.

While the 8 carries enticing gifts, its energy needs to be supported by other numbers for it to flourish. The 4 helps keep an eye on the all-important details, and the 9 keeps the 8 in touch with their humanity.

Be careful what you ask for.

If you decide to change your name to add one or more 8s to your profile, the rest of your chart must be able to support this strong force. If the 8 is out of balance, you may inherit more of its negative attributes, like frustration, dissatisfaction, anger, aggression, greed, intolerance, hate… and insomnia.

A higher-than-average percentage of 8s find their way into the top echelons of society, but you will also find a disproportionate number of 8s among the homeless.

If the 8 appears in your cycles – especially your Essence cycle – it carries an increase in energy and focus, a newfound sense of motivation, and enhanced self-confidence. The shape of the 8 shows balance, but it also reveals confidence, as it looks you right in the eye. A constructive 8 is honest to a fault, generous, and forgiving. They can be physically imposing or athletic and tend to excel in sports requiring strength and endurance.

Most 8s are not particularly romantic in the traditional sense, as they prefer a more practical and straight-forward approach. Still, they are loving and more than carry their weight in relationships.

As with all single-digit numbers, the 8 has a positive and a negative side.

One mystery of Numerology is that there is a small number of people who, from an early age on and for no discernible reason, seem to turn the opposite direction of what their charts indicate. “Seem” is the keyword here. This phenomenon is found with all numbers, but it appears to affect 8s more than others. There are quite a few people whose charts are dominated by 8s that become priests, missionaries, humanitarians, and so forth. However, even those selfless, loving individuals tend to be skilled in fundraising, money management, and authority.
