How to Meet a Real Witch

How to Meet a Real Witch

Mar 3, 2011 Charlz dela Cruz

If you are really interested in practicing Witchcraft and would like to meet a real Witch, here are the helpful and tested tips you can do:

If you are interested in the practice of Witchcraft, it could be beneficial for you to have a friend who has long been engaged in the Craft. She can guide you along the magical path and she might eventually even be your best friend. But where can you find a real Witch whom you can trust?

Online Help

Thanks to the advancement of technology, finding a Witch who might even be your neighbor can now easily be done at the comfort of your own home. There are various online sites you can try; and Witchvox is one of the best websites which the author can recommend.

Witchvox.com is an online site with numerous listings of Pagans, Witches, Sorcerers, and all other people engaged in the arts magical. People who are listed therein come from different countries around the world. You can view their profiles; which means that you can know more about them; you can even send them an email via the same site.

Attend Gatherings

A Witch gathering is exactly what the name implies: A special event where Witches gather together. Many Witches do not anymore live in hiding; schedules of events in relation to the Occult Arts are, from time to time, being posted and shared with other people, especially online. Again, Witchvox is an excellent site for this. Usually, a gathering is open to all Witches regardless of what path they follow. Most of the time, even people who are merely interested in the practice of Witchcraft may also attend the said gathering. Hence, it is an excellent opportunity to meet people who share the same Magickal interest and passion as you. Moreover, once you attend a gathering(even just once), you will easily meet so many practitioners already; you can take the opportunity to befriend them and perhaps contact them and schedule for a more personal meeting.

Contact a Coven

There is a good chance that there might be a coven(a group of Witches) in the city where you live. If you can manage to get the contact number of any of its members, you can easily call or text them about your concern. Do not worry, many Witches are very friendly(perhaps even much friendlier than you are).

Ask a Friend

Of all your friends, perhaps even just one of them knows somebody who is honestly deeply engaged in the practice of Witchcraft. If not personally, he might still be able to give you a lead towards someone who is.

Invite a Friend

If there is really no way possible to meet a good and credible Witch and you are very eager to have a Witch-friend with you. You may invite a friend who also shares the same passion as you to your home. Eventually, the two of you may find yourselves already deep into the Craft. You need not to look far; perhaps your best friend is that Witch-soon-to-be you are looking for.

Cast a Spell

Cast a spell that will bring you the Witch that you want to meet. Ask the multiverse for help and guidance. Have faith. It is not so hard; and it works.

Wear a Pentacle

A necklace with a pentacle pendant is usually worn by Witches not only for magical purposes but also for the advantage of being identified as a Witch. If your intuition says so, you may try to approach people who wear the said symbol. You can even wear one for yourself and perhaps that Witch you are looking for will be the one to introduce herself to you.

Be Open

Let the universe take its natural course and just be open to it. Join even just an online group related to Witches. Who knows, that friendly Witch might be the one looking and waiting for you. Be open.

Afterword

There are many ways to meet a Witch just as there are countless of means to meet another person. In your dealings, be careful and know if it is safe to meet a particular person. Moreover, somehow unfortunately, the world is filled with people who claim to be Witches but do not really know what they are talking about. Again, be careful.

Meeting another person who is also deeply engaged in the same calling as you could be beneficial and it can be very fun. However, it is not a requirement to become a Witch; and meeting more, and more practitioners of the Craft will never make you more-of-a-Witch. If you are a Witch, then you are.

Have fun.

Blessed be.

  1. One thing that I don’t agree with. Not all witches will advertise with a pentagram/pentacle. Some of us still keep to ourselves. Majority of those who wear the gram today are simply doing it for the phisod of it. Barely knowing what a real witch is. Those of us whom are psychic or empathic will aproach others for clarification. We practice older ways and aren’t always members of a coven. I’m very interested in knowing more pagans and wiccan people. But, know this, my High priest is the oldest in Florida. He’s also family. I welcome contact from all those who choose. Blessed be my friends.

    1. Pray to God. He can do anything, and has all the Power. BUT HE WANTS YOU TO RECEIVE HIS SON 1st so you can get into his Heaven. Because that’s the only way to get Spiritually Cleansed. Because That’s what it takes to keep his Home Sin free

      1. I started once to delete your comment then I changed my mind. I am a very religious tolerant witch and so is this group. We are all opened minded to each other Traditions, beliefs and practice. But we do not preach or try to shove another religion down someone’s throat. You know nothing at all about me or this site. I grew up in a half and half house. That means part of it was Baptist the other part Witchcraft. I had the choice when I was older which path I wanted to follow. I choose The Craft. You want to know why since you are preaching “the word.” I will tell you why, I never saw or experienced the things in the Baptist church that I have in The Craft. I know my Goddess is with me 24 hours a day. I can feel her energy rush through my blood, I feel her presence in me. I can walk outside and see Her everywhere I look. We have no Satan, we have no sin. We are accountable for our own actions. We will reincarnate and live again. Now can you say that for your religion. I don’t think so. And most of all, my Goddess has NEVER EVER asked anyone to kill in Her name. Can you say the same thing? I don’t think so. Now you can say here if you like but I never ever want to hear you shoving your religion down someone else’s throat. Do we have that clear? We have Preachers, Priests and a few others here. They are here to learn about us, not preach at us. If you knew anything at all you would know, we are the oldest Religion on this planet. Everything your religion has came from us. Did you know that? To be such a horrible bunch of people, we sure did have a lot of stuff stolen from us, hmm! Our ancestors were burned because of ignorance but they made sure our religion remained for the future generations to come. Next time before you decide to preach, read a little about us first. Oh, I forgot, there won’t be anymore preaching. You are more than welcome to stay and learn but not shove your religion on us. We each have our own beliefs and we are very steadfast in them. We will remain long after you are gone.

  2. Dear author,

What about people living in countries where people still feel bad about this subject and where real witches don’t want to say who they are? I am living in an Eastern European country and we don’t have covens (at least not online) . There are some, but teenage boys and girls trying to have fun, not serious. The only people that say they are witches here are the gypsies that ask thousands (yes, you read well, many zeros) for their services and do NOTHING. I know people and I’ve heard about dousins of other people tricked by gypsies, there were even famous(in my country) trials of people complained to be tricked and intimidated by gypsy ”wiches”, who ask them more and more money and if the clients cannot offer anymore, the gypsies threat them in terrible ways. I doubt a real witch who respect herself would do this, scare people…
So, back to the subject, how to find a real coven in my country? I am sure they exist, but they don’t put themselves online, it’s still a shame here to be witch – because of the practices above.
I tried to be friend online with some famous witches from UK and US- who also wrote many books and they were very nice to me but said it’s not possible to teach me online.

    Any idea? Thank you

    1. I can understand completely your situation. I get a lot of comments and emails about how witchcraft is frowned on in other areas. But don’t feel like you are alone, you definitely aren’t. Even now in the States, there are still closed minded individuals. I believe what people don’t know a thing about or even consider learning, they are scared of. I have preached and preached (yes, I use that term) that we are just like everyone else. But with Hollywood and all the old myths, the message just doesn’t reach some people. If they don’t want to hear the truth, you can make them. And you sure can’t combat ignorance.

I know it is horrible to have to practice your religion in secret. If it wasn’t for our ancestors being willing to do so, we wouldn’t have the foundation we do today. I know in the States there are some that are hard-corers against the Craft. But it is growing and it is killing the mainstream religions that it is. I have ministers for all different religions writing me, wanting to know what I am doing to people. I am not doing a think, I am telling the truth about our religion and our Divine Goddess. Of course, the Goddess just uses me as Her vessel. I know without her everything we have accomplished would not have been possible.

You are in lucky though. A few months ago we opened up an online coven. The lady who runs that site is very nice and she teaches the Craft to those who want to learn. The site is called Coven Life, the addy is http://covenlife.co/ (surprised me, it actually linked). You can copy and paste that in your browser or you can use the button on the right hand side of this site. I can guarantee you, you will be welcomed there and here. One of the main goals of the WOTC over the years has been to make this a place witches could come and be safe from the outside world. You can make comments, fellowship with others or just thumb through our site, it is up to you. I know I do most of the posting but I have a little button that pops up when someone make a comment. So if you want to talk or ask me something, feel free to do so, I always try to answer any questions when I am on here.

One last word, never feel you are alone. You are not. We might be spread thousands of miles apart but we are all connected by the grace of our Goddess. She is with you and so are we. Welcome home, dear sister.

  9. Good day! I know this is somewhat off topic
but I was wondering if you knew where I could get
a captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform
as yours and I’m having trouble finding one? Thanks a lot!

    1. If you are using the same platform as myself, then you won’t find any plug-ins. I see you are on Weebly. I use WordPress and they quit giving out plug-ins several years ago. Now the only way you get a plug-in from here is to upgrade your account to premium. The last time I checked, that is just $99.00 a year, ha! I have better things to spend my money on. Just a suggestion but you might want to consider importing your site over to WordPress. In the posting section, you can add a contact portion to your post. Also in the template design, you have the option of a contact form there. I have used Weebly and I like it but it doesn’t hold a candle to WordPress. Open you up a private blog and just see for yourself what WordPress has to offer.

I hope I have answered your question. If I can be of anymore help, just let me know.

Oh, one more thing, WordPress does not support JavaScript at all. I love the dynamics of JavaScript and solved that problem. I opened an account on Blogger and now have a link to it from this site. That is about the only strike I have against WordPress.

  10. Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids.

I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and
said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear
and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

    1. Thanks for the chuckle. I hope your daughter’s ear gets well soon. I know I don’t have to tell you but being that close to her brain, be sure to watch for an infection.

Thank you again, sweetie. You have broke me of ever putting another shell to my ear.

  12. Hey would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your layout
seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to
    ask!

    1. No problem, I like off-topic questions occasionally, lol! I have tried about every blogging platform you can try, none of them compare to WordPress. I think you would be very happy here on WordPress. I know I have just one or two problems but it wasn’t their fault at all. It turned out to be the Anti-Spam software company. I emailed WordPress and the same day the problem was taken care of. They are super. They offer you various (I think now about 172) templates for you to use. Some are premium and those you have to buy. But as far as this one goes, it is about the oldest one they have. If you was to go through the templates, you wouldn’t even recognize this one. This one I have changed everything about it. That is why I also love WordPress. They give you the templates and let you go. I know they take very good care of us. They are always fine tuning the mechanics of the site.

So, all in all, anyone asks me which blogging platform to go with, my answer is always WordPress. You won’t be disappointed at all.
