Lady A’s Spell for May 23rd: Drawing in the Morrigan

Drawing In The Morrigan

Stand in the North (home of the Morrigan). Say the following while you anoint yourself with oil:
Blessed be my feet, that have brought me to the gates of Lir
Blessed be my knees, that kneel at the sacred altar of the Morrigan
Blessed be my womb, which brings (hath brought) life into the world
Blessed be my heart, may it beat in wisdom and strength
Blessed be my arms, that shall wield the power of the Morrigan
Blessed be my lips, that shall utter the Sacred Names and speak only the truth
Close your eyes, raise your arms with palms out and say:
Hail, great Goddess Morrigan, Queen of the Sildhe, ruler of the Uindimagos of the realm of Fal salute thee in adoration

The Guardians of the Four Cities lay down their treasures before thee

But all I can offer is my love and trust in you.

Draw an invoking pentagram in the air. Again close your eyes, raise your arms with palms out, and say:

I call upon thee, O Great Morrigan,

Threefold Goddess of Power

From the depths of Lir, from the world of man,

From the reaches of Uindimagos

Do I call on thee

To descend upon my body

Thy servant and priestess

And lend your energies to me this day

As I walk in the human world

Ever seeking balance

Today’s Hexagram for May 4th is 26: Containment of Potential

26: Containment of Potential

Saturday, May 4th, 2013

hexagram09

This hexagram points to the containment of great power that increases as it is wisely stewarded. Like a river that has been dammed, or a boiling pot with a lid on, holding and containing power produces enormous energy. During normal times, daily ritual and habit help keep life ordered and serene; but in times of great opportunity, great fortitude is required. Focused attention is what will be required to channel this great potential and achieve supreme success.

In a current situation you have considerable reserves of energy and support to draw upon. This is the right time to channel creativity by collecting and organizing good ideas and plans. In this way, even large or extremely challenging undertakings can be successful.

A hidden source of power for the great is the study of the past. The lives of wise and successful men and women are like buried treasures of wisdom. Great good fortune comes to those who unearth these valuable treasures by applying the lessons of the ages to current events.

Today’s Tarot Card for May 4th is The Empress

The Empress

Saturday, May 4th, 2013

Traditionally entitled “Empress,” this major arcana or “trump” card portrays the energy of the Great Mother. She is Nature, around us but also within us, the ever-unfolding Source of life-giving power. She is often pictured as a pre-Christian Goddess, as the one whom the High Priestess is channeling down to earth for the rest of us.

In medieval Europe, the Empress card was painted to represent whatever Queen currently ruled the land, probably to satisfy the Inquisitors. But the scholars of the Renaissance and beyond had no doubt of her true identity, although she could not be fully revealed on Tarot cards as the “woman clothed with the sun” until after the French Revolution.

This supreme archetype of femininity also symbolizes fertility. It is She who provides us nourishment and security. She is also sometimes seen as delighting us with flowers and fruit. A potentially terrifying aspect of this archetype manifests itself whenever karmic mood swings wipe out our plans, like a storm that has come upon us. Whatever happens, the Empress is the Source of our Embodiment and of Natural Law. She might even be called “the Great Recycler.”

“GOOD MORNING MY DEAR BROTHERS & SISTERS OF THE WOTC!

yearofthewitch

I am going to make this short today. We have some yard work around here, we have to get done. But Lady A did want me to relay a message to all of you. The message:

“Great, No Fantastic Job, my dear, dear family!” She stayed in bed all day yesterday watching the coverage CNN had on. She said there was a period of time, they mentioned everyone was surprised how all the tips, tracks, everything they need, just fell in place from. Then it hit Lady A, our plan worked. We pulled our powers together and made it happen.

She will be back Monday and I am sure she will have much more to say. She made the ribbon yesterday. It says, “2013 Year of the Witch.” If you would like to save this mage to you hard drive and use it to no end. Then do so.

Take The Ribbon and Spread it Across the Net,

Like Fire to Hay, Let it unite the Pagans and

get them back to the nature of our was.

So Mote It Be!

yearofthewitch

Take the ribbon!

Let it be known

2013 Year of the Witch!

In difficult times like these, let us turn to our Goddess In Prayer

This prayer has no name, I wrote it myself. If you would like to reuse it, as always feel free. It is from my heart. In my hour of need, I always turn to the Our Great Goddess for comfort and aid. Take time out today, to light a candle and say a prayer for our brothers and sisters in Boston.

Now let us prayer to Our Great Mother

Oh, Great Goddess, Mother Of All,
Please be with us in this dark hour
with our need so great. Horror and
unthinkable events, we have witnessed.
Our minds cannot comprehend such
violence and death. Why, Great Mother,Why?

We need You now, Great Mother,
To come, be by our sides.Give us
comfort, love and guidance during
this hour. Bless us as your children.

Great Mother, please bless those who
have lost loved ones. Guide their passage
over to the next plane. May they have smooth
and pleasant journey to their new home. No
more pain, no more sorrow, surrounded by
their ancestors’ love.

Great Goddess, please those that were left
behind. It is difficult for mere people to find
the words to comfort. But You with Your Great
Power & Love, can fill their hearts with peace and
comfort. Let them know that one day, we will all
be reunited on the grassy plains of the Summerland.
Also dearest Mother, let them know they will always
be in our heart till we meet again.

So Mote It Be.

Calendar of the Sun for March 5th

Calendar of the Sun

5 Hrethemonath

Navigium – Poseidon’s Day

Colors: Blue and blue-green of the sea
Element: Water
Altar: Set with sea-colored cloths, figures of dolphins, the figure of a ship, a compass, and a great bowl of salt water.
Offerings: Sea salt. Face some emotion that seems overwhelming to you.
Daily Meal: Fish. Seafood. Seaweed.

Invocation to Poseidon

Great Bull from the Sea
Crashing against the rocks
Master of the waves and depths
Foaming horses champing wild
Break against the yielding shore
And you, Lord of bitter brine,
Sink not our ships as they make their way
From safe harbor to safe harbor.
And we shall sing the praises of Poseidon
Earth-shaker, loudest voice
In the world between heaven and underworld,
The voice that booms up from the depths
Of every water-borne soul.

Chant:
Earth-Shaker
Storm Maker
Lord of the Wave

(The compass is then passed from hand to hand, and each person in turn says, “Guide me in my navigations, Lord of the Unending Waters, and bring me again.” The bowl of salt water is then passed hand to hand, and each splashes a bit onto their heads. The rest is poured out as a libation.)

(All join hands including those girl children who wish it, and dance in a circle.)
