Feng Shui Daily Tip for July 17 – ‘Yellow Pig Day’

Today is ‘Yellow Pig Day,’ but whether yellow or not, Feng Shui says the pig is a most revered animal in the East. It signifies material comforts, home protection, abundance, wealth, fertility and success in all affairs. Positioning an image or small statue of a pig in the ‘Wealth’ area of the home (far back left hand corner) will attract and increase assets. That’s what I call bringing home the bacon.

Daily Feng Shui News for July 14th – ‘National Nude Day’

If you are inclined to take advantage of ‘National Nude Day’ then you may want to use an all-natural sea salt scrub before taking your naked self out into the world. All you need to make this scrub is one cup of sea salt, one-half cup of almond oil and ten drops of lavender essential oil. Mix all ingredients in a bowl and store in a glass jar. Rub into damp skin and scrub with a soft sponge or washcloth. Rinse off with tepid water and you’re good to glow.

Daily Feng Shui News for July 5th – ‘Bikini Day’

Today is ‘Bikini Day’ and if you’re worrying about fitting into yours, then this next holistic remedy might help you slip back into it. Put one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and two tablespoons of organic honey into a glass of unsweetened grapefruit juice. Mix thoroughly and drink it down approximately thirty minutes before each meal. In addition to reducing your appetite, this drink is also widely believed to shrink fat cells while also regulating the thyroid. I’ll take one for the road — and two for the beach!

Daily Feng Shui News for July 1 – ‘Second Half of the Year Day’

This ‘Second Half of the Year Day’ is a perfect time to reflect on the resolutions or goals that you made in January and to see where you’re standing at the moment. It might make sense to update or refine some of those goals so they’re more in line with present energies, as well as those that you want to manifest during the next six months. Write three goals in red ink and keep them close so you can see them throughout your day. You may even want to say them aloud nine times each day — three times in the morning, three at midday and thrice in the evening. This is an ages-old way to make your dreams — and your goals — come true.

Daily Feng Shui News for June 28th – ‘Great American Backyard Campout Day’

On ‘Great American Backyard Campout Day’ it may pay to take some powerful mosquito repellant out into the backyard along with the hotdogs and chips. One great repellent is citronella. The scent of citronella is known to repel all sorts of insects. Simply sprinkle some of this essential oil on your exposed areas and even put some in an atomizer bottle and spray around your space. That way your campsite (and your watermelon) will be bug free.

Daily Feng Shui News for June 25th – ‘Day of the Seafarer’

On this ‘Day of the Seafarer’ it won’t hurt to repeat a powerful prosperity-attracting Feng Shui cure that could allow your ship to come in. Position a small statue of a boat immediately inside your front door, making sure that it is pointing into the home. This boat symbolizes incoming wealth and abundance, especially if you put some gems and coins in it. If you want to see a big boost to your bottom line, then don’t miss the boat.

Daily Feng Shui News for June 24th – ‘International Fairy Day’

On this ‘International Fairy Day’ I’d like to share some legendary ways to attract the wee ones into your life. Ages-old lore says that on these days of the Summer Solstice you should put some food and drink (preferably alcoholic) at the base of a tree or on a window ledge so you can make friends with the fairy folk. They will then help to keep the magic alive in every aspect of your life.
