A Friendly Service Announcement

A Little Public Service Announcement for all our family & friends of the WOTC! I mentioned a few weeks ago about receiving two offers to do TV shows and several radio interviews. I promised that I would let you know when any of these events were going to take place. The first event is a radio interview on February 6th. The station is KCSB FM 91.9 in Santa Barbara. The interview will aired at 12 am I understand. So if any of our friends out in the California area would like to listen in, please do so. It would be nice to know I had friendly ears listening. Also say a prayer or two for me, I am sure I will be a nervous wreck.

Luv & Hugs,

Lady A

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – December 20

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – December 20

“My pottery is the handiwork of God.”

–Teresita Naranjo, SANTA CLARA PUEBLO

The Great One has given every human being at least one special talent and one special gift. We need to develop and practice these gifts because they are the handiwork of God. Maybe we are artists-when people look at our work it puts joy in their hearts; maybe we are singers-when people listen to our songs, their hearts are happy; maybe we are writers of song or poetry-when people hear or read our work, it may change their lives. We need to honor ourselves and our gifts. We need to thank the Creator for our talents and our gifts.”

My Creator, let me use my gifts to further Your work on the Earth.

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – December 5

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – December 5

“I’ve had a long regard for generational things: pottery, cultural things, participation in dancing, extended family. Only in that way does culture survive; only in that way is culture active.

–Tessie Naranjo, SANTA CLARA PUEBLO

Culture teaches us how to live and it ensures that knowledge about life is handed down from generation to generation. Culture gives us the feeling of belonging. It helps us raise our family in a good way. It teaches us how to treat one another. Culture sets boundaries for societies. We need to develop our culture. If we have left our culture, then we need to come back to it. Culture leads us back to the Great Spirit. Sometimes in our lives, we leave what we know works and experiment with something else. Then we get into trouble. So we need to come back home. Indian people are lucky to have a culture to return to.

Creator, thank you for the culture. Let me live it today.

Your Animal Spirit for August 28th is The Beaver

Beaver

Beaver may be one of the hardest working animals on the planet. Beaver is attuned to both earth and water medicine, and is strongly attached to home and family. Beaver appears in your reading to remind you that sometimes there’s no substitute for hard work. Make a plan, create a solid foundation, then take  the next indicated step.

August 15 – Daily Feast

August 15 – Daily Feast

Most people do not intend to get caught in a bad cause. We simply get swept along with the tide. It can happen because we want to get ahead fast – but it more likely happiness out of ignorance. It has been said that we have the capacity to make heaven a hell, or a heaven of hell. We’ve been known to do both – though it is a matter of choice. According to the Cherokee, it is plain to see that the place called heaven, ga lv la di-tso sv, is the ultimate choice. We have had to deal with situations that we didn’t choose. They were simply piled on us and we tried to help. But here we must be wise. We can’t allow ourselves to be drawn into a cause that is not our responsibility, and that we may not be well informed enough to handle.

~ I have been trying to seize the promises which they made me….but I cannot find them. ~

Good Wednesday Morning To All My Dear Family & Friends!

Good Wednesday morning, dear family! How’s your day going so far? I sincerely hope it is going better than mine. Mine sucks a rotten egg. I ought to know when it rains it pours, or at least on me it does. I got in the truck yesterday to go pay a bill and mail one. Well on the way back a funny noise starting coming out from under the hood. It sounds like the fly wheel is getting ready to go through the motor. Lovely, all I need stranded in the boonies. Then today, I go to wash a load of clothes and the washer won’t drain. It won’t even spin. I have been on the internet all morning comparing prices on A/C units. The A/C is out and I am not spending another year with the temps in the 100’s without one. I did last year and thought I was going to die. I finally broke down and got Kiki and me a small kid’s swimming pool. We stayed in it all day. Now if this enough to drive one person crazy I don’t know what is? Almost out of a truck, no washer and no A/C. I am not even going to say what’s next. No way!

Then to top everything off, that little kitten, Olive, I told you about. The half starved to death one. Her side were so sunk in that they met. Oh, made me sick. Well she disappeared for a day and a half. I figured the coyotes got her and I would never see her again. She showed up about a day ago and guess what? She now has a broken tail! Yep, a broken tail. I have never seen anything in the world like it. Just this poor limp tail following behind this little cat. I know she must have been coming in heat by the way the male cats around here were acting. I kept them off of her. So I am wondering if one of them broke it trying to mate with her.

I swear, I am the luckiest witch in Western Kentucky! A limp tailed pussy, no washer, no A/C and a truck that’s about had it.  If I thought the truck would make it, I would sell it all and just disappear into the woodwork. Ever have one of these kind of days?

Well I have cried enough on your shoulder. I better get my rump to work or else I will be crying about people leaving the site :( .  Oh, we don’t have a thing fixed a head of time. We have all been bailing water and cussing and fussing at the washer. So have patience we will get everything out I promise.

Darn I hope you have a better day than us. If you do, please enjoy it for me too.

Love and Hugs,

Lady A

I Must Apologize To You All

i_am_sorry_blog

I must apologize. I can’t stay awake this morning or today. I wake up with my head on my desk. Then the computer’s cooling pad is crashing down. Let’s just give up on the dailys’ today. And go for a little bit or this and a little bit of that. I have made a pot of coffee, I hope that helps, lol!
