Hey Megan,
Sorry it took me so long to reply. Too many irons in the fire these days, lol! In regards to your question, there are three plants that come to mind for substitution: Blue Flag, Broadleaf Cattail or Narrowleaf Cattail. I know some of these herbs are even hard for me to obtain. When that happens, I go to EBay and find a seller there. You might want to try that if you can’t get hold of any of these herbs.
I hope I provided you with some help. Please forgive me for taking so long to reply.
Have a super fantastic Saturday,
Luv & Hugs,
Lady A
You don’t need to apologize! I greatly appreciate any help/advice and I’d much rather wait for accurate, thought out information than a rushed response.
Unfortunately, ever since the closing of a particular shop, many herbs are difficult to find. I think I’ll have to go with your idea of an online seller.
Thank you!
Sadly, there are only 2 shops on the island and neither had sweet flag or Calamus root. Any suggestions for a substitute?
